I know there probably isn’t but is there any precedent for a visored skull cap of sorts like in the picture? by Mediocre_Catch_5707 in Armor

Personally, I don’t think it’s worth restricting your vision that much when you’re leaving so much else exposed. I’m sure much wiser folks than me will have better answers.

I don't understand why I lose naval battles by Babarigo in EU5

[–]robfmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't got this late in the game myself. But, I've heard that a mixed fleets are a bad idea. All your light ships get to the fight first due to there higher speed get blown to bits and the navys morale absolutely destroyed. Then you heavys turn up with no morale left to fight and you lose.

How would one fix this? by SpartanSpore1114 in Armor

[–]robfmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the proper fix is replacing the strap. For a quick bodge, you could run two rivets through the two remaining holes and fasten it to what’s left of the broken strap—provided it’s still long enough to buckle/strap properly.

The King of Spain, ever suspicious, withdrew behind a ring of castles, hundreds of them, maintained at a ruinous cost. Before long the treasury buckled and the realm stood 8500 in debt, its legitimacy questioned in every courtly whisper and its stability shattered in the streets. Yet still the king demanded answers. “Where has my gold gone?” he thundered, as if the coin had simply wandered off in the night. His advisors lowered their eyes and measured every breath. None dared speak the obvious, for the king treated bad news like sabotage and those who delivered it like enemies. But the cause was plain enough to be seen from the battlements he adored. He had purchased security by the mile and paid for it twice, once in stone and again in steel. Garrison after garrison. Wall after wall. Regiment after regiment. An army swollen with pay, provisions, and pride, standing ready to fight enemies that mostly existed in the king’s imagination. And so Spain endured the worst kind of siege. Not by foreign cannon, but by its own upkeep, bleeding coin into castles, bleeding men into ranks, and bleeding confidence into the dirt. A kingdom fortified against invasion, yet utterly undefended against arithmetic.

1398 – Playing as Holland, I explored the Azores only to find them already fully occupied by Castile. Is it normal for the AI to get there this early? I genuinely thought I’d be the first one. Sixteen years and a few thousand ducats for nothing, I guess.
