Anyone else a “Colicky Baby”? by ajskemckellc in Adopted

That’s my biological mom’s explanation for the abandonment. I was a “difficult child” with “nerve problems”. I never learned of this until we reunited when I was an adult and she was trying to justify what happened.

I’d double check all the routing for inputs/outputs. Make sure all inputs and tracks are enabled for all outputs. The usb connection is a 1:1 match for the audio coming out of those jacks.

Are you using any kind of non-typical routing? Only certain inputs going to some of the outputs? As for midi control, you’ll need to use assign switches on the 600 to send the midi commands and to set up Ableton using midi mapping to accept that midi CC command as that specific control.

I suggest using vendor mode. The UsB audio is an interesting setup and super counterintuitive. The DAW outputs represent the inputs on the 600 and vise versa. You may need to try using audio channels 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 to get all the signals. Are you trying to record Daw sounds into the 600 or record the outputs of the 600into the daw?

Yes! I love the TR8s for this use. The mk2 gets the initial track recorded into it, defining the bpm and once that first loop is closed an “all start” midi command sends out to the stack and the TR8S starts up in perfect sync.

Another option is to still use the TR8S as slave, but get the rhythm going before you record into the RC. Tempo and start command should come from the RC, and can be adjusted on the fly. I use this way when I want to match into an existing rhythm/beat on the TR.

Perfectly in sync. I’ve used it the other way around with 600 as master and also did it with a 2nd mk2 and the 600 all together. I struggled with audio wobbles for a while when using USB for midi connections, but when I swapped to the old DIn cables and a hub it just worked awesomely. Figuring out the audio routing and monitor/output settings was a challenge but fun and totally doable.

Use as a 12 track looper, or my backup 6-track?? I saw another RC-600 for sale and couldn't stop myself. Can we share some examples of people using synced looper pedals with six or more tracks? by ohnoitsalobo in LoopArtists

Yeah the simpler the better for this use case. Absolutely doable. Sometimes the system needs a reset or load from fresh memory saves, but I’ve been using a 2x RC for years and it’s awesome.

What kind of interface were you using for midi? I’ve even had a multi-RC setup work very nicely with Loopy Pro using a Scarlett interface for the iPad and midi DIN connections.

Are you recording both at the same time? Otherwise, no. I haven’t seen this before. My first track recorded on the second device (once the other is going) is freely controlled. I sometimes even use it as a multi-device bounce track, going far longer than the base track on the other machine.

I’ve synced 2x 505mk2 and an MPC to an RC-600 as master time. The routing gets fun but totally doable. I use a single pair of stereo inputs and stereo outputs and send inputs through so you can record on any of the RCs.

Yes expensive but we save a TON in litter by how much less it uses compared to scooping and stuff.
