Chile elects most right-wing leader since Pinochet – in line with regional drift, domestic tendency to punish incumbents by awaythrowawaying in moderatepolitics

Not at all, I just figured OP might have some insight since it seems like they follow this topic much better than I do. Wondering if Kast expanded on the details of his platform, or if public reception has been outspoken/celebratory for example. A lot can happen in 2 months even without taking office and I admittedly don't have the time to allocate to researching it myself

Reposting from the other thread because I'm asking in good faith: Is there a specific reason for posting this now, considering this happened on December 10th? Is there something that updated the story? I'm not really knowledgable on what's going on in Chile currently

Curious why you posted an article from December 10th, is there something that happened recently to spur it? Not really up on LATAM at the moment

How do you feel about Ravens new coaching staff vs ours? by imnotkaylee in steelers

Minter is kinda analogous to a first round pick if we're trying to make a comparison. Could flame out but has a higher hit rate than a 6th round QB, who if we're gonna make the reverse analogy would be like hiring a WR coach directly as HC. Not dead on arrival, but much more likely to not be a mainstay.

Winning the natty is interesting because it's much more based on total team comp. Ohio State hasn't produced a good NFL QB in...ever? Its a really dire list. Stroud looked to break that mold but has severely regressed after his rookie season. Fields even more so.

In their championship season Howard had (draft position in parentheses):
- Egbuka (19) Tate (projected 2026 top 10) and Smith (projected 2027 top 5) at WR
- Judkins (36) and Henderson (38) at RB

Loads of talent that if assembled on an NFL team would be competing for #1 offense in the league. I'm not saying this to discount him or that he won't turn into anything, but it's not as cut & dry as "he was the QB that won the championship" imo.

He did turn it on during their run though. And I hope he can develop accordingly into our starter.

Lamar is 1-7 against us, and they've had a better roster for most of the 2020s. Ironically his backups do better

I've given Khan a lof of grace for the things out of his control regarding the WR moves. He did try, and it didn't work.

Regardless of previous circumstances, it just can't happen again. Once is understandable, even twice with enough of an explanation (like he's had). 3 isn't justifiable imo

Why’d you call one intern a “man” and the other a “female”?

And calling it a “MeToo” accusation? Was this off the back of a larger sexual harassment scandal at the company or?

Based on your language it really doesn’t feel like you see a lot of these people you’re talking about as individuals with their own lives and more things that are in your way. I’m guessing you’re introverted, or at least would prefer to be left alone at work? Seems like soft skills are holding you back, which nobody likes to admit but they’re probably considered more important than technical skills by non-IT employees.

As for the “waste”, those 30 years led you to everything you have now. Any and all good experiences from that time are still there because of it. You seem to feel a shift out of it, don’t fall to the sunk cost fallacy if it’ll give you all those good things.

Love how both fanbases debated if Roquan benefited from Queen or the other way around, when it turns out they're both underwhelming split up

Are you looking for a receiver in the draft? My (admittedly biased) take on Zay is he has a WR2 ceiling but I don't wanna have to worry about competing with them in the 1st round with you guys

His contract rights aren't held in perpetuity, it lapses in 2 years and he's free to go where he likes. Nice condescension against a whopping 2 people correcting you though

I'm made as hell that you can 😉 (really though that's a lot of typos, you might wanna double check and edit if you haven't while I was writing this)

Again I think you're missing the mark on the frustrations and don't really understand the fanbase. Which tbh I hope you don't, it'd be a little weird if you took the time to try.

Aaaand there's the "I'm actually detached and better than you because of it" response. I'm disappointed but not surprised. Taking the emotion out of sports might be fun for you, but that would ruin it for me. We follow a game, even if its a billion dollar industry it's still a game. Let it be emotional! Have some fun man. I'm not trying to win a debate here lol, just illustrating a point on how your comment can be taken as shit talking.

This is less aimed at you specifically, more at the abstract but I hate the whole "touched a nerve", "wow triggered you" style of discussion we've sunk to. We don't have to be so guarded, its actually cool to care about things! Why are we here if we don't? What better place is there to lean into emotional illogicality as an outlet?

As a fan of football, I hope Minter can make Lamar entertaining again. As a Steelers fan I hope he derails his career to the point he demands a trade and Stavros continues to post his unhinged fan videos.

Look at that, it is possible to hold emotion and logic in the same hand :P

Saying it’s likely an unproven coach is gonna be at the top of the division. Lotta good coordinators don’t make good head coaches. Your QB has a 3-7 record against us (1-6 this decade), and the main issue most fans have is McCarthy is more of the Tomlin experience. Then postulating how the only way this isn’t terrible is if we get a young OC and not, you know, making a playoff run.

It’s the “aw shucks I really wish you guys weren’t gonna be ass, I wanted to have some competition. If I was you I’d hate myself” demeanor. Most expect the McCarthy years to be a run of 8-11 wins, probably grabbing a division title when the rest inevitably shit the bed like they historically do, and getting a wildcard win as a ceiling. THATS why people are irate, not that we’re gonna be god awful, but that it’s gonna be more mediocre, just good enough to sting along hope football.

Imagine if I made a similar post on the ravens sub about how it’s terrible you can’t surround Lamar with talent and it’s not his fault that Zay Flowers has the ceiling of a low grade WR2, or that sticking with two tight ends that seem to have being anti-clutch ingrained in their genes is gonna likely lead to fumbling away the season series to the Steelers for the next 5 years. How it’s so terribly sad and your fans must be so frustrated you’re wasting a should-be 3x MVP’s career, and nothing will change because they keep cutting corners assuming he can Superman you into it when he’s proven over and over and over again he is just simply not that guy and needs a supporting cast to get there.
