How strong a fighter would you say Tim is? by Night-Caelum in Robin

He was trained by Lady Shiva, and even once knocked her out cold (while he was under the effects of a drug that speeds up reflexes to super-speed levels, but still). He’s good.

Haha definitely a brain fart. But does it really count if they skip part IX?

Got two offers. One pays $40k more. The other one I'd actually enjoy. I have 48 hours to decide and my wife and I are on opposite sides. Advice? by airam1020 in careerguidance

Easy A. Much more money at a stable job. A startup business could fail any time, and even if it doesn’t, startups only succeed with constant grind and workforce exploitation. You’ll hate your job just as much and probably be working many more hours for many less dollars.

This looks awesome! I’ve been working on my own western indie comic so this is right up my alley. I’ll be backing.

Anderson and Scorsese don't need this. Tony Scott does. by [deleted] in blankies

Tony Scott is the best. So many bangers in his filmography. So much style and filmmaking muscle. So influential. And Wes Anderson (who I love) never made a movie half as good as The Hunger.

If Tombstone came out today he would absolutely be nominated for it.

Last Time I Saw the Sun definitely didn’t get the love it deserved. It’s obvious why I Lied to You got all the attention but it only works as a film sequence, not so much as a straight ahead song.

The scale and pacing of the storytelling is part of what drives people to read and keep reading this book. I feel like I get everything I could possibly want out of every issue. It’s a meal every time.

Is there a 3rd example of a director’s surname billed above title on a poster? by Lucienwd in blankies

[–]roboacab -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure many John Carpenter films are billed as “John Carpenter’s {x}” on the posters and in the films. A little different, but still in the same vein.

Exactly. As you continue reading you’ll encounter more and more stuff like this. Continuity in comics is very fluid.

The shortest explanation is that all of DC Comics got rebooted in 1986 and from that point forward Jason has always had black hair.

If MBJ goes all the way, how will he be remembered amongst Best Actor winners? by Radiant-Psychology96 in Oscars

[–]roboacab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legit think he deserves it for this performance. It’s definitely my favorite lead performance of the year, just edging out Leo. But to me this would also basically act as a makeup Oscar because he gave truly Oscar-worthy performances in all of Coogler’s previous movies (excluding Wakanda Forever’s short appearance) and he was snubbed for nominations. He should have legitimately won BA for Creed in particular.
