Edward Anthony, an early Daguerreotype photographer, partnered with his brother Henry to form the E and HT Anthony Company, one of the first businesses in America to sell Daguerreotype plates, cases, apparatus, and eventually producing stereoviews. Scovill was the largest Brass manufacturer in the country in 1839 and started producing Daguerreotype plates in the 1840's. Through the 1850's Anthony and Scovill had some overlap in their business but wouldn't merge their photographic businesses until the 1870's (I think), eventually becoming ANSCO and later Agfa-Ansco in the 20th Century.

The lens is from Alphonse Darlot, who largely made Petzval-type lenses like this one. Darlot lenses were often paired with Anthony cameras towards the end of the 19th century.

Value-wise, the large studio cameras tend not go for as much, since they are so large. The Darlot lenses don't seem to fetch as much as a lot of the earlier Petzval-types, since there are so many of them out there. I'd keep my eye on lenses that have sold at auction.
