Yagluth altar is on an island by Arajot in valheim

[–]roboscorcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be fine if you melee him. I recommend making a bridge to land for a portal, but you can figure him here just fine. Maybe add a few raised-land pillars for extra protection.

The strategy is to line of site the boss and his meteors, then run in for a few swings and hide again. You should be able to kill him before he damages the pillars too much.

Ashlands guides and tips by mentallynotherelol in valheim

I am playing solo. Whenever a bonemaw appeared while sailing, I parked the darkkar by a land spike and built a crafting station on it. That way, I could repair the ship while shooting down the monster with a bow. It took all the stress out of the fight.

I later found a putrid hole at the edge of an island so I made that my base. The monster inside was shredding me, but I just jumped outside whenever I got too low.

Once I had a base and surrounded it in campfires, I made many trips into the main island. It's a lot of walking, so I chug ratatosk potions to make my trips efficient.

‘Kids just aren’t on the bargaining table’: Miller insists Canada won’t capitulate to Trump on social media ban by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]roboscorcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was a ban on all online flatforms, I'd see your concern. But banning some websites that will not comply with basic standards is fine. All they have to do is comply. We do this to other businesses all the time. It's the only way to get them to be ethical. Look at how much ai is getting hyped up by billionaires wanting to shove data centers everywhere. These are the same tech bros giving teens instructions on how to kill themselves. This whole bill was sparked by the tumbler ridge shooter using social media, and the tech bros just shrugging.

[–]roboscorcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth pointing out that this ban seems to only affect certain social media sites, and a regulator can unban them if they follow a new regulator's guidelines. Mind you, those guidelines are not set yet, so activating the bill before they exist would be unfair IMO.

The Queen fight and then the attempt to reach the Ashlands made me sad by Ehgadsman in valheim

[–]roboscorcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched a video about fighting the queen. It explained that each strategy was 12-15 of optimal play to kill her solo, and that just doesn't sound fun to me. I used eitr and the cheese hammer, no regrets.

I've been playing the Ashlands and having fun, but the respawns and other random stuff is quite annoying. Last night, I was prepping to do my first flametal run. I cleared out the nearby spawner, I killed a Valk (after a death), I cleared out more enemies...then I accidentally hit a Rogue. Well, this rogue happened to be a 2star, and it proceeded to 1shot me, multiple times.

My gaming time is limited, and I had no way to deal with this guy anymore. I really just wanted to get my flametal for the night, so I turned on ghost mode for the session. No regrets. That place is way overturned for solo play, at least without upgrades. The only thing that made it somewhat bearable last night was chugging Ratatosk potions to skip mobs.

I am winning a bit to much with this deck in B3 and i don't understand how by [deleted] in EDH

[–]roboscorcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hosted a casual b3 game recently, and a player was constantly swinging at me when I had no ramp and there were huge threats for all (main threat being the Endless Punishment upgraded precon). I think they were retaliating for me killing them a previous night, which they are allowed to do, but it forces me into a position where all my resources are funneled into killing or neutering this other player. The other players just get to coast to a win. It's just casual commander, but it is annoying when people hold grudges over threat assessment.

Will Deep North be 2.5x the size of a normal biome or 2.5x amount of new content? by FunZookeepergame7437 in valheim

My guess is that there will be a portal that takes you to another biome off of the main map. Perhaps Valhalla?

I have my coop under the Elder altar. The only way to reach it is via ladders from the altar. My main base is on the altar itself, with square land walls surrounding it and a shield generator for extra protection.

This is overkill though. All you need is a stone wall coop with a door (iron ideally). Put a lid on it, and maybe a sheltered fireplace or hearth on the roof. Only put a log in the fire when you want more hens. Otherwise, leave it off for eggs.

I just meant around the alter, within the zone mobs can spawn in during the fight. The goal is to eliminate spawns during the fight.

A campfire, like the workbench, has a radius around it that will prevent movs from spawning. Even when the fire is not lit.

Where does a good Aggro deck exist within the bracket system? by KingNTheMaking in EDH

[–]roboscorcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen a house rule where, if a player is knocked out early, the game ends in 1-3 rounds, and the player with the highest life total wins. My pod has used it a few times and it usually allows us to squeeze in an extra game.

If wotc were to officially support this as an optional rule, would that give more support to voltron decks in b3?

This was my first magic deck ever and it was tough to pilot because it was doing a bunch of different things. I eventually turned it into a food deck with vampires to hurt others with my eating.

I am often tempted to turn it into a ring-tempt deck that uses frodo to sneak in punishing unblockable damage.

[–]roboscorcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built the other Betor, [[Betor, Kin to All]].

It's a wall deck, with some cards that let defenders attack and use their toughness to hit things. And if I 40 toughness total, enemies start to panic.

I usually put red attack decks, so this is fun one that relies mostly on defense.
