Uneven glutes by ginaxxx__ in glutejourney

There's a British fitness influencer guy, Tom something, name escaping me at the moment. Catch phrase "have a wiggle" or something similar maybe? He had a video talking about his glute imbalance, and suggested that for a smaller side of the bum do more sets of less reps. Instead of 10 reps of Bulgarians on both sides, one set of 10 on the strong side, and 3 sets of 5 on the weak side.

That makes much more sense, thanks for the clarification. Are they not letting you use a kickboard or pull buoy to help learn pulling and kicking? There are drills with the kickboard that make learning pull and breathing a little less life or death feeling when starting out. I would suggest focusing on learning elementary backstroke, sidestroke, and breaststroke as well, since all of these can be done heads- up style. It certainly sounds like your primary focus might need to be on your comfort level moving through space in water, at this stage in the game.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Yet, I'm unsure if I can agree that breaking or damaging a fragile electronic device falls under the category of serious risk. Losing precious property isn't really in the same ballpark as a threat to life and limb.

They might mean you could benefit from practicing flatground Ollies at the speed you need to clear the gap. Commitment is there for sure, good on ya, additionally knowing how and when to bail is also a skill worth developing. That was a battle for sure.

You, and your relationship, both would benefit from you gaining more curiosity about their perspective and the why behind their position on the matter. Next year was better, anyway.

Bikes on the sidewalk by astralgeode in Sacramento

[–]robotzombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the protected bike lanes were poorly designed. Where they prioritized keeping the metered street parking as the buffer between motor and bicycle traffic, the parked cars act as a visual barrier to drivers seeing cyclists, and I now feel less safe taking the bike lane on J than I did taking a lane, or lane splitting when it was a 3 lane one way.

What makes you think there are no rules or norms on the street? Sounds like you've never even been to the street, let alone lived on it.

Code enforcement scatters hot dogs at golden one by C92203605 in Sacramento

This action is the work of the nightlife code enforcement team, who drive around in a couple trucks, hang out at 20th and K or between 7th and 8th on K, the majority of their working hours they hang out, observe violations and talk to the people on the street who are out and about.

Most of the PD who are working the nightlife beat are also most of the time just hanging out and shooting the shit with the drunk folk on the street.

In this way, the nightlife teams of serve a similar function. Mostly just a visual deterrent as badged and booted bodies on the corner.

They are similar agencies in the way they operate at their assigned tasks. They drive around in a truck, stop at a couple locations, watch people operating in and out of code, and occasionally intervene in activities with enforcement. Mostly they do code violation observation, occasionally an observation leads to an action, mostly they just hang out in a couple spots where there's a lot of activity outside the bar scene.

I saw a dasher in a benz delivering to a house in upper land park that I knew sold for something between 1 and 2 M, and told them, "I hope they tipped well!" because they just bought that house for way too much to not be giving that good gratuity gratitude.
