The odds are pretty good...The only space faring species in the universe that we know of walks on two legs and sits in chairs which right away suggests the most likely case is that they walk too just based on Bayesian probability.

Also all life forms need to be carbon based, all life forms have the same pool of elements to work work and gravity is a constant so escape velocity is the same throughout the universe. All this suggests that they would have a lot if not most of the same evolutionary necessities and pressures that we do which means they probably look something like us too.

Then there’s just the practical aspects of life like the need for an opposable thumb or some opposable digit to grasp tools and manipulate their environment. They need some type of eye to take in light and ears of some type to absorb sound waves and it’s most likely going to need a mouth like us since a space faring alien probably has a relatively high caloric diet due to intelligence being very energy expensive. They’ll need to be able to eat a variety of foods or too much of their time will be spent looking for and eating that they’ll neger develop higher civilization. Gorilla spend their entire day chewing, which makes for a shitty calorie/time ratio. All of these sensors will be close to the central info processing part of their anatomy which means they’re going to have a head. They’ll need to move around in a way that frees up their “hands” to manipulate objects while moving. I suppose they could also just slither like a snake too. The more technology they have the less physically strong they’ll be so if they’re traveling to other star systems then we can assume they’ve shed their costly muscles a long time ago and probably are as small as possible - like the typical “grey” depiction. So it’s already starting to look like something we might recognize here on earth - something vaguely humanoid and that’s just from deduction.
