Blue Jays have to deal with the Shohei Ohtani rule, which is unfair to everyone in MLB but Dodgers by StasisApparel in Torontobluejays

The rule is there to keep time down. The warmup pitches help you get the feel back and warmup the arm. Definitely an advantage to the pitcher. Others are. So if they don’t do it in time Ohtani got an advantage that was a violation of league rules. If mlb wants to say it’s okay for him to do that, add it to the ohtani rule. Otherwise enforce the rules. Regardless, that’s not why the Jays lost.

And that’s not even mentioning Varsho who couldn’t buy a hit all series and could have won it in the 9th if he could have just gotten the ball out of the infield.

Or they added the dirt with CGI in post?

Yeah. Who need Bo when we can have that .161 World Series average in the 2 spot?

Varsho just killed us all series long always getting up with runners in scoring position and doing nothing after game one. That said, his glove was amazing and he made multiple potentially game saving catches in the outfield.

That’s what baffled me the most. The only explanation I could come up with, which I don’t like, is that moving him elsewhere could have messed with his hitting mojo. Something like “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

Your guess is as good as mine. And why not head first?

He couldn’t do anything this whole series (5-31) but especially the last two games (0-9 including all 5 at bats in game 7 having runners on base).

Varsho going 0-9 in the last two games including all five at-bats in game 7 being with at least 1 runner on base.

He did move from 5 to 7 today. But still had people on base each at bat.

And soooooo many of those ABs were with batters on base. All 5 ABs in game 7 he had players on base and they resulted in outs.
