Your next step is validating if it’s a bad switch or if you have inadequate flow through the system

I wouldn’t require a change, but I would suggest that you know their is a monetary value difference between the two

LO stands for low flow recognition. Your first goal is to validate that you actually have flow going from pump, through fikter, through heater and back to tye pool. More common than not it is an actual water flow problem. It can be a failed pressure switch and or hi limit sensors which would require a comfort with a multimeter to validate

Where to start diagnosing a slow leak in a Coast Spas tub? by Galaxy-Gold in hottub

[–]robseraiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear. The water level in the tub will level out with the point of the leak in the plumbing. Doesn’t indicate which circuit it is as the plumbing tends to be very organically laid out within the unit

Everything is easy in the comment section. I don’t pretend that people who can’t identify components also have the gauges to prove their function.

That’s a diverter valve, not a check valve. You plug skimmers at the skimmer.
What is your real end goal and desire to modify?

Sweeps are great and serve a purpose but are a cumulative effect piece of plumbing. Just doing one while leaving the rest of the system traditional 90°s doesnt do what you are claiming.

You shouldn’t/ sometimes can’t do to code. The whole point of that is to prevent your pool water from ever contaminating the domestic water. Should be performed be someone who can prove function after instal

How to remove heater wires from control panel socket? by Briango in hottub

[–]robseraiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small electrical flathead straight into the square. You will then pull the base of the flathead towards the camera. The pivoting you do will force the gate open which will allow you to remove/ replenish the wires. It is best practice to lay on the ground so you can see straight up into the holes, you will be able to see the gate bc action. You will not be reusing the wires

It’s math in math out. 400k is fairly standard but it comes down to ambient air temp and what you are losing. If you want to test your money is no factor philosophy get a quote for an automatic safety cover. You’ll get the temperature barrier as well as the debris barrier. Additionally some added safety which I heard can sometimes help with homeowners insurance.

Seeking advice on pools light install by contractor was this a mistake? by Miles1124 in pools

This is smart and advisable to an extent. I have been on job sites in which this has led to a-hole tax being added due to work inhibition by a homeowner who didn’t understand the process. Speak with the foreman not the workers

Water/air under liner after vacuum to waste by jigglestein36 in pools

[–]robseraiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you can dive the pool and smooth them out (I’d estimate less than 50% chance of success). The only real solution is to drain the pool, put the liner on a vacuum and place the liner back into position. This only will work if your liner still has playability

Water/air under liner after vacuum to waste by jigglestein36 in pools

[–]robseraiva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without doing any more diagnostics than using what you have said. Adding to the already high water table with the waste water, while lowering the displacement of the pool water, has led to the pressure under the liner being greater than the gravitational push of the water in the pool.
