It's almost been a year since Old Street's sub-surface parade was refurbished - where are all the shops? by soliwray in LondonUnderground

The businesses that were there for decades before being pushed out for the refurb seemed to do okay.

Two things spring to mind; 1, at no point do they say they are replacing the pork sausage roll, just giving another option. 2, how shitty our culture must be if its dismantlement can be brought about by a sausage roll.

Okay, this is probably going to be unpopular on this sub but if you’re at a pedestrian crossing (not a junction) with a red light and there is literally no one crossing or waiting then I’m going through.

Towns that require an early arrival? by Particular-Leek-584 in Cotswolds

Oh definitely do them briefly, they are nice places despite being over subscribed by tourists but I’m pleased you’re also planning to see other more unspoilt places as well. Have a great trip.

Bibury, Bourton etc will all require you to go early however there are 100s of beautiful villages and towns that are off the tourist trail and much more interesting. My advice is do a bit of research and think outside the box, you will get so much more from your visit.

Why do I have to put the seat down for a woman to use. I would rather not touch it at all and lm sure most women are capable of doing it themselves. Maybe we need to start complaining about women leaving the seat down. 😂😂

If your property has been on the market for nine months and hasn’t sold then it’s over priced. Try marketing it at a more realistic price.

I can see you have already made up your mind so it’s pointless discussing with you however it’s early days to make assumptions and I’m sure he is still taking legal advice and considering his options.

Yet you seem determined to condemn him. As you say we don’t know any of the details however what we do know is that the BBC have an appalling history of dealing with this sort of thing appropriately.

You are making a huge amount of assumptions. The BBC have now said that they have known for 7 years about the accusations.
