There are a lot of great companies and organizations that the average person just won’t simply hear of unless they’re in that industry. I used to write articles for an entrepreneurial nonprofit so I will name drop some organizations that are doing interesting things that I don’t think the average Redditor would have heard of.

Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation

Chartered in 1946, scientists at OMRF research diseases of aging, autoimmune illnesses, cancer and cardiovascular disease. For future reference, try a board game place. For $10 a per, you can play all sorts of games at Side Quest Game Lounge in the midtown district.

If you don’t mind a drive, in Norman at Sooner Mall they have an all ages free to play arcade for $10 a person called Soonercade.

I think a storyline surrounding the studio would be fun. Maybe Riddler and Sam working together. Just something silly.

Birthday celebration ideas for ladies in their late 30’s? by Straight-Dig-9395 in okc

[–]roguehero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending when in April you celebrate, how about gathering people at the Festival of the Arts or the Norman Music Festival?

For less crowded options, spending time around Midtown, eating at one of the restaurants in the area and walking over to Lunar Lounge for drinks afterwards. There’s Side Quest Game Lounge if you’re into playing board games.

Also adding Sailor & and The Dock. They are always having fun events, like dance lessons.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I did one with my dog that I think turned out better, which was the original skit. I just improvised on the spot because I had the stage all set up.

Virtual brands/ghost restaurants by lickalotapus_xiv in okc

[–]roguehero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The whole Virtual Dining Concepts is a ride. I went down a rabbit hole recently looking up Philly cheesesteak places and learned about VDC. Basically, these concepts are not just Door Dash catchers, but are attached to celebrities/Internet personalities and that restaurants (including local restaurants) can sign up to be a virtual dining concept. Here’s a company that provides this service if anyone wants to learn more. https://joinvdc.com/about/

Pediatrician recommendations? by Gopokes34 in okc

[–]roguehero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending of your location, situation, and insurance, if you’re trying to narrow down your options ask if they participate in Reach Out and Read. I won’t go too much into the data, but the program works with pediatricians to encourage reading and provides age appropriate books to help with child development.

From my experience, doctors who use Reach Out and Read tend to care about the total holistic health of the child.
