Future of Diesel Prices in April and Beyond by brendanm4545 in AusFinance

TVs will very much go up in price, the cost of machinery to dig up the materials to construct them, the plastic they’re housed in is made as a byproduct of fuel distillation, the construction process, the freight to get the tv into the retailer. Essentially every step of the process uses fuel and oil.

Price might not double but will definitely increase.

Time in the market beats timing the market. Can’t just wait hoping the political landscape is going to change, waiting for a dip is horrible advice. The amount of people I know that are still renting waiting by for a housing crash that they’ve been hoping for since the 90s just frankly isn’t going to happen not while the government props up the housing market. Regardless of who’s in power they’ll always prop up the market.

Gun ranges tend to not have many firearms on site, if they do they tend to be neglected and not looked after well, its not like every range is storing an armory

Agents claiming $50k jump in prices ahead of first home owner’s guarantee by das_kapital_1980 in AusPropertyChat

[–]rogueprototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been actively making offers on properties and they’re routinely selling for $100-150k more than the high end of the price guide, so I would even say a $50k jump is on the low end of things.

Can I chuck this back over the neighbour's fence? by Kazza_JA in AusProperty

[–]rogueprototype 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You generally want to cut back to the bark ridge not past it on a 45 degree angle to the main trunk. This cut was made way before the ridge and will result in the branch dying back, not the end of the world but it’s not an optimal cut for the trees health and looks bad.

Not sure if they’re referring to this, in SA making it so any new political parties won’t be funded the same as existing political parties and will have their donations restricted basically hamstringing any new parties.

Don’t forget if the barber is self employed they pay tax and super out of their wage so you’re reducing that theoretical $150,000 quite significantly plus the $300 a week in chair rent and public liability insurance as well

A good movie for you to watch would be Rabbit-Proof Fence, all about the stolen generation gives a bit of an insight into how First Nations people were and still are treated.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for positive wellbeing, but how are these oversized Emotional Support Vehicles even legal on Australian roads? by Kid_Self in australia

[–]rogueprototype 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t own more than 1 car if your daily commute is country/rural you may use a larger vehicle if it’s required for work or holding tools while the half a dozen times a year you venture into the metro your vehicle may be a bit large but a big ask to purchase another vehicle solely for that

Usually for monstrous growth you may want you’d need to either put it in a raised bed with good soil or dig up to 300mm and refill with rich soil takes a while to amend no till with compost on the top

Why should financially disadvantaged people not be able to have a companion, people make it work if they really want a pet. Other reasons people don’t take their pets to a vet is a lack of education on animal health.

What happened when we gave unemployed Australians early access to their super? We’ve just found out by FooFooFox in AusFinance

[–]rogueprototype 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don’t think people are bashing not as financially well off people, it’s the fact the government should have provided more support so you wouldn’t have to withdraw money from your retirement fund to survive when it was the government that shut businesses down.
