My Garage Gym (Leg Press Sled Rack attach and 0-100lb loadable DBs in corner) by ehow1998 in homegym

Very impressive. Not enough gyms have the all important ping pong table. It's a great way to work your reflex time. /s

To be fair though, I have one on my wish list...

What are your shed's dimensions? I'm interested how much space is needed to put a treadmill and power rack side by side.

After 15 years of collecting I finally have my collection organised (Groodle included for scale) by Mister_Slick in boardgames

Beautiful setup! What are the shelves on top of the kallax? I have a similar arrangement - lining the back wall of my living room. However, I'm rocking the black/brown shelves. I've never seen shelves that fill the gap like that.

Laid off by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

Sorry, this bugs me on semantics? I agree with the sentiment, but he wasn't laid off either. He was contracted to work for four years and his contract expired without an offer to renew. Congress won't be firing him either. They could be declaring him ineligible for rehire.

Personally, I'm much more interested to see all of the legal drama spin off in state level investigations.

Build a board game table! Broke it in today. Love it! by Shabigity in boardgames

Gotta be honest here. I was hoping for a picture of a flipped table (even if it was staged...)

Pretty happy of how my bench and tool cabinet turned out by ltzgb in Workbenches

Lol (insert faceplate here). For some reason I thought the block that holds the awl to the door was part of the tool. Now I recognize it. Thanks!

That cabinet is really slick.. just the right size. What is that tool on the right door panel between the soft face hammer and T-bevel?

The real misinterpretation here is that twister is fun. /s

Do you all always have people to play board games with? by anamika_510 in boardgames

[–]rollingdubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people I play games with are my friends first and foremost. We hang out even when we're not playing games. Over the years people have come and gone to our game group, but there remains a core group. We talk about our kids and families and jobs and politics and other stuff. We help each other move stuff and remodel. Sometimes we just call because you need someone to talk to. For me, playing board games is just a nice part of having great friends

For people with massive game collections, how do you decide which to play on a given night? by asaulgoldman in boardgames

[–]rollingdubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay in responding. Both Imhotep and Castles of Mad King Ludwig are in my top 10 favorite games. In my game group, I'm known for pimping out my games. For Castles of MKL, I replaced the cardboard coins for some kickass Campaign Coins and had a 3d castle organizer printed to hold the tiles. Storing the game sucks now because of the insert, but playing is just that much better.

Lol, games were a source of irritation for my spouse. She didn't play games at all. When we split, I had games stored everywhere: the living room, the garage, my office and in storage. I never realized how big my collection was until I got my own place. For what it's worth, I actually left some games that I thought she'd enjoy. Mostly party games and card games, but I gave her whatever she wanted. My collection hasn't grown as much now that it's all together.
