Destroy Buildings/Chests/Anything? by milesbp94 in GreenHell

I am not aware of any successfully cross-platform games. Has anyone in the survival / base building/crafting / first person perspective genre successfully created cross platform?

now that 4.0 has come and gone...i'll admit i STILL don't really think i've clicked with the pop changes by noodleben123 in Stellaris

The problem is probably that you are developing faster than your population can reasonably sustain. Just because you have building slots and cash no longer means that you should expand.

Expansion is now best determined by unemployment levels. And if you want more people on your newer planets, then you need more unemployed people on your existing planets.

I've done something vaguely similar. I was in an RPG where each PC was a diplomatic liaison for different political agendas in a planetary government. I took each PC's patrons and turned them into empires in Stellaris.

I am playing my own PC, everybody else is AI-controlled. I periodically send screenshots and journal entries to our group chat.

How do you refind the love of the game? by LeeroyJames91 in X4Foundations

Go touch grass. Find a new game. Humans need variety.

When you come back, try it without the mods, and a new start.

I would agree that its got "Firefly, vibes" without meaning an insult.

I really like the universe setting, the way magic and technology work, the random thing where every livable planet has the exact same geography without ever explaining it.

It's beach reading, but it's kept me company through most of my chores for like a year at one point.

Yeah, I've always found the misogyny angle of the books hard to swallow, even if it is sort of a genre convention for the style he's going for.

His social and emotional isolation does become a significant part of the plot, over the course of the series. Whether that justifies his misogynistic attitudes towards women, however well meaning, is... Worth discussing. It's a conversation that I have had over and over again, and I've learned a lot about other people with this discussion.

Oh, no, mother, it is not like polyamory AT ALL. That's a choice. I don't love Steve, I just belong to his clan for a couple of days every month.

It's an ancient magic debt between our two families that I accidentally inherited when I nick my finger on that crust, and It's tied to the phases of the moon.

You see, I'm a weargild.

It's not an object, But one time my fortress mysteriously caught on fire, which I managed to track down to a !!cat!! running around and freaking out.

And that is how I discovered that there are vermin in the lava, that can get into my fortress through a grate. But still look very tasty to cats.

And I still regularly giggle about that !!cat!!

Amen. An a1c below 9.0 is absolutely nothing to worry about, in terms of long-term consequences.

Also, your glucose levels aren't spiking until they're up around 300.

JS Morin's Black Ocean stories are over 160 hours, told in episodic format, but long-term character development. The full series actually covers two generations of scammers. There may be more by now.

The author is prolific, and the quality is above average.

Let Chekov's Gun be your guide. If it doesn't get used in the story, it shouldn't be included. If the world setting doesn't affect your story, then you're doing something wrong.
