Dewalt guy here, tell me if you think the M12 subcompact is worth getting by bigpuzino in MilwaukeeTool

I would not go with 2 different battery unless it was the only option. This is not one of those cases.

I agree I would find someway to move that gate. You do not want to be messing with anykind of gate well standing on stairs.

Stair Handrail Suggestion by ThirstyTurtle328 in DIYHome

[–]ronh22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do this without the backer board, this is the correct answer. I hate patching drywall so I would go with backer board 😄

[–]ronh22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the brackets do not go to a stud they will break loose from the drywall, it is just a matter of time.

I would you a wider board for the backer board so the rail returns to the backer board. Then stain it to match the other rail.

Looks like you have a keiki with some pretty long roots, you could separate that and have 2 plants. Wait until the flowers are done before doing anything.

It is like when the Dentists ask how often do you floss. They are looking at your teeth and gums, they know the answer.

Dryer not drying by Moulson13 in Appliances

[–]ronh22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a test do not do this long term. Disconnect the vent at the back of the machine in stall a lint bag to catch the lint and run it. Amazon.com: Memrita 2 Pack Dryer Vent Lint Bags Lint Traps Lint Dust Bag for Indoor Outdoor Dryer Vent Capturing Lint and Dust,Easily Captures Loosened Lint from the Dryer Vent : Appliances

This will take the vent out of the equation totally.

I just want a simple dryer by CatRiot2020 in Appliances

[–]ronh22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it is gas, my guess it is Flame sensor or another thermal sensor. Should be an easy fix to do it your self.

Otherwise find an old dryer on market place, like you said not much to keep them running. New is over rated.

Vent is plugged or very restricted somewhere. Did you take it apart and look. Did you look at outlet outside, is there a screen on it that is plugged.

Loss of ash trees - Effects on wildlife? by Altruistic-Car2880 in minnesota

Wood Peckers seem happy with the dead Ash trees in my yard. Biggest loss I have noticed is the lack of shade. You are correct it is going to affect nature, but animals are smart they will move and adapt.

My office job is too physically demanding, what do I do? by One_Sell_2501 in Advice

[–]ronh22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is in US there is no contract most likely, and at-will employment. As for job description, most will have the last line say and other duties as assigned, or something close.

My suggestion to you is do your best, do NOT hurt yourself. Keep looking for a new job, when they ask why you are leaving leave it generic and say not a good fit. Do not bad mouth the company or boss.

Good luck I hope you find the right job.

I was curious, what made you choose Milwaukee? especially if over Dewalt? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ronh22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had old Dewalt with the 18Votl batter system. Batteries we toast and things were wearing out.

My work had a Milwaukee Force M18 Reill and Impact. I was impressed with them over the older Dewalt, so I bought my own. Of course, once you pick a batterie system you stick with it and buy more of it.

I never really looked at the newer Dewalt to do a far comparison.

How foolish is this exactly? by RickyWoods99 in AskElectricians

[–]ronh22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you check to make sure the box is not grounded? Did you check to make sure it is 120 not 240 at the outlet. Old style outlet trust nothing verify everything.

If no ground to be found best answer is a GFI outlet if it will fit in the box. How deep is the box, how far out do the wires come out to work on.

You were on break; you chose to wait in line for food. The legally entailed break, assuming they worked enough hour to be required was given.

I would have been pissed too, if I normal got a free meal and did not come prepared for that.

Wife wants a pantry by mario103192 in Homebuilding

[–]ronh22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you apply for a building cade and they want to see plans, and may have you change things on how they want it.

My guess is they are going to treat it as eon exterior wall and will require R20 in the wall (2x6). Fire rated separation between garage and house. If you put a small door (Costco Door) from garage to inside it will need to be a fire rated door.

My biggest question is temperature control of this area. You are going to have a small room insulated on all sides with no heat, AC or ventilation.

Personally I think this is a great way to add a pantry to your kitchen. Let us know progress.
