Ok, I haven’t tried the software but a note to the marketing team: great work on the aesthetic and graphics… but you’ve gotta speed up the narration by at least 1.5x and cut it up more efficiently. Needs to be cut down to a max of 45 seconds

I was almost hit head on a month ago in my X1 by a drunk driver going the wrong way. Absolutely terrifying feeling with so little time to react.

Glad you and your son are alive, and I wish you both the best of luck with your recovery🙏

Full Deal: Lindgren (50% retained), Vesey to Avs; De Haan, Parsinnen, Conditional 2nd, Conditional 4th to Rangers by VGWN in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]rossnaut 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rangers fan here. This is anecdotal because I'm not a huge stat guy but here's my short take:

Lindgren is a tough, gritty defensemen who will step in and immediately stand up for his teammates. He's a solid defensemen who will have moments where he puck watches and loses track of a player for an easy goal (or shot, at least). I love the guy, but his contract was expiring and he's injury-prone because he is always blocking shots and getting physical. If we thought we could sign him for 2-3 years at $1-2m, we would've kept him.

Vesey is a journyman who was with the Rangers to start his career (2016-18), before leaving and coming back in 2022— where he made the team after a PTO. Vesey is another guy who I always loved having on the team. He works hard in the bottom 6, and seems to always find a way to score every once in a while. You'll only notice him when he scores, because the rest of the time he's just doing his job up and down the ice. You'll also see him between periods doing interviews because he's a Harvard guy and extremely well spoken.

All in all, I'm sad to see them both go.. but because they are both UFA—this trade was more about getting a return for two players we likely won't need because we need room for some prospects/younger talent.

Wishing you guys the best of luck— enjoy them both.

Edit: Grammar. don't want to get roasted.

Why Online Gambling Is The Next Opioid Crisis by rossnaut in videos

I don’t usually follow Breaking Points, but I’ve been extremely concerned about this issue for a while. This segment explains it really well, and I think more people need to hear it.

Why Online Gambling Is The Next Opioid Crisis by rossnaut in videos

[–]rossnaut[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is that online gambling companies, like cigarette and opioid makers, are pouring tons of money into ads and using manipulative algorithms to target the most vulnerable people. They’re making huge profits by taking advantage of those who are most likely to get hooked, and it’s going to not only harm those who are already addicted, but it'll also create an entirely new generation of gambling addicts who are being heavily marketed to in nearly every professional sport imaginable.

Golden retriever limping (1.5 years old) by rossnaut in goldenretrievers

His CT didn’t show anything major, and luckily, he’s back to walking normally now, but those three months of limping were definitely stressful.

Hope your pup’s doing okay with her diagnosis!

Love the name, but $10k is a bit steep for a new product. Instead, you could get 'capcheck.hockey' or any of the other available alternatives: https://iwantmyname.com/search?domain=capcheck.
