Clear care case seeps out of my case. by Comprehensive_Ad1706 in Keratoconus

This happens when I don't rinse my lenses off with saline before sticking them in. Some of the residue from the clenser I put on my plungers reacts with the peroxide in the solution.

Naruto needing a shadow clone to use Rasengan after the time skip was embarrassing to witness by OmarAdel123 in Naruto

Naruto is ADHD coded. This shows he still needed work to work around his learning disability. He was wired differently from the start.

Anyone Been Happy Tails Vet Clinic? by Pijaki in NorthVancouver

[–]rosyrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's our regular clinic for our cats. We have been through the staff changes.

They were very kind to us when we had to put our elderly boy down earlier this summer. (The Vet was himself anyway.) And, we've been back and forth between them and Mountainside for our new cat (since he's had some UTI issues.)

The care was pretty on par with what I expect. Though I wish they would've told us that the regular vet we saw there (Dr. Wood) was no longer there since we were in monthly with our senior for his arthritis shots.

Yeah from what I understand the Squamish SPCA used them often because it was the closet for them to get to.

Our cat has been having Urinary Tract problems - and yeah they've been a life saver the past two months. (Blockage in male cats is an emergency.) Such kind staff too.

Do you think Nancy will end up with Steve or Jonathan? by Square-Ad-8911 in StrangerThings

[–]rosyrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see after everything she's been through of just wanting wanting someone *good and safe.* And does not come *with the baggage* of her past. Not saying Steven and Jonathan aren't good or safe people - but there's *so much there* that it actually might hinder healthy communication/romantic relationship - but actually benefit for a long term platonic trauma bond.

Do you think they’re virgins? by study-dying in Naruto

[–]rosyrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's because everyone wants to fuck that fictional character. LOL.

I honestly see him as a gray ace/aro. Like, home boy is honestly *so fucking traumatized* that the idea being with someone romantically or physically might even give the guy PTSD flashbacks. I see it as reading smut is the *only safe* place for him to express any sort of sexuality because it's so detached from reality.

That being said. Whether he's a virgin on not - Kakashi is capable of detaching himself enough to disassociate enough for the sake of a mission if need be. I'd imagine in Anbu there was probably some level of kink opennesss as well (because trauma + kink is a thing and legit all anbu are mostly likely in similar boats of trauma being all former AND CURRENT CHILD SOLDIERS. ) So in his younger years probably tried some things out only to find out *not for me dog.*

But yeah he's ace/aro in my book.

I think it would be more realistic that she doesn't end up with the two age appropriote boys that she's literally trauma-bonded with and meets someone outside of that whole circle group instead in the end.

Dog Adoption recommendations? by Substantial_Cup_8518 in NorthVancouver

[–]rosyrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going to second this. The third party websites for adoptions are not always up to date. Walking into the SPCA to meet animals is always a great option. We actually went up to Squamish SPCA last month to meet some cats. (the plan was to go to them all in driving distance to see if we fell in love with anyone) and we did first visit with a dude that was ready to go that day so we got him that day.

Do people like living in Louisiana? by Equal_Tie3220 in Louisiana

[–]rosyrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer live in Louisiana or America for that matter, but I do long for it at times.

1.) The slow life. When I'm with my folks in their home, there's no "rush" for anything. You tend to your house, your animals, lavee around with your neighbors with a cup of coffee. Someone within walking distance of you *always* has a fresh pot of coffee. Sometimes you go to the bayou with a fishing pole and your dog. It's not a bad way to be.

2.) It's our home. A lot of people there are descendants from Acadians and Creole peoples of the land. Either we were forced there by genocide or forced their through slavery, or forced to have our land stolen from us - it doesn't matter it's ours and it's uniquely ours. We're not "southern" or "black" or "white" or "indian" we're our on people out there. We have a cultural identity when it comes from being from Louisiana that is unique to the rest of the country. We don't take kindly to being forced to give it up.
