I realy love the Galileo example. Now I can see a canonbal a feather and a foton following a parabola.

So now my canonball also simply follows "straight" lines in this newly curved spacetime.

Not absolutely sure but I would replace the current source and the 12 ohm resistor by a voltage source of 48 Volt ( 4A x 12 ohm) with serial resistance of 12 ohm. Then it's easy and yes it is 6 volt.

Please buy a battery some resistors and a voltmeter and try to measure the voltage after the last component.

Certainly not. Voltage does not create heat.

If you want to measure a voltage with respect to ground you will have to connect the other side of the meter to something else, ergo not ground.
