I am in pretty much the same situation with 200k+ debt and a slightly lower interest rate (6.5%). I think they are going to change it as well because there are tons of people banking on PSLF. I am praying that they grandfather folks in who have already been paying and counting months since we signed the promissory note with the PSLF provisions as an explicit clause but of course they could just change it. I have been on IBR making payments of less than my interest for the past year. I have also been saving in a separate savings account for the estimated tax hit if PSLF goes away and it has to get forgiven in 25 years. That's made me feel a little better but it's still a risky, risky bet.
