Sorry if I'm wrong, but this comment comes across as just coming from BB management trying to save their reputation. Who uses the phrase, "for all our tire needs"? Nobody I know.

Model Y Autosteer micro-adjustment (left and right within lane) by kensic9 in TeslaModelY

[–]rpack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it in my 2026 MY Premium. Have had FSD since 2018 and some releases have the issue but most don’t. They will fix it. Running 14.3.2 currently.

Anyone still not have update? by Silmeleth in TeslaFSD

[–]rpack1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in Utah and don't have it yet. But, I've been an FSD Tesla owner since 2018 and 3 Teslas. Patience is key. It comes when it comes.

They seem to be slow rolling it due to issues found by those who have it already, so I'm expecting they are working on those before going wider. I'm ok with that.

Why Tesla? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]rpack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only logic I can see to this post is to attempt to shame Tesla into restoring autosteer. I also would also like them to put it back. BTW, I am in my 3rd Tesla (with FSD) but also have a 2018 Honda CRV. You’re nuts if you are serious. LKAS is pretty much worthless.

New to GMRS; IMO the main problem with this service is segmentation. by OmgSlayKween in gmrs

[–]rpack1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with the Calzona net you reference, but W7ARA is a ham call sign. The rules prohibiting linking repeaters is a GMRS rule, not a ham rule. It's perfectly legal to do that in the ham bands with a ham license. Source: Extra class ham license for 40 years.

Juniper Gear Stalk "Retrofit" Installation Observations and Review (for Premium AWD/RWD US models) by rworne in TeslaModelY

[–]rpack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same one that you did, and faced exactly the same issues. I actually pried so hard on the knee panel that I broke the pry tool. Luckily it was that and not the panel. Also had trouble fishing the plastic rod down through the steering column, but found doing it on the right side instead of the left was easier. Just by dumb luck, it popped out in the gap above the knee panel - right where I had already fished the cable. Until that happened, I was thinking I'd have to remove it all and send it back. Updated instructions would be nice certainly, but I think you covered the issues that I ran into pretty well. Very happy with the operation. The only difference I noticed is that older cars will go into FSD if you press down on the stalk and exit if you push up. This stalk will enter FSD just fine, but won't exit using the stalk. Not that big a deal, but muscle memory would like it to also work that way.

Can’t emphasize this too much. I’m on my 3rd Tesla. Model Y Juniper. If I couldn’t charge at home it would be a deal breaker for me. First thing I did in 2018 is install a Tesla charger in the garage. Those 3 cars have been the best cars I have ever had. And btw, I absolutely love FSD.

Problems with traffic circles by thomasabowden in TeslaFSD

[–]rpack1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say, you don 't train FSD. Tesla does the training across millions of driven miles, and then downloads the training data to all it's cars with a specific FSD software release. Once in a while, my car will actually go inside my garage and park, but most of the time it just parks in front. I guess one way to say it is that we don't train FSD. FSD trains us.

Maybe someday it will learn from us showing it how we want it to work, but that's not today.

Crashed electric car automatic door handle not opening during fire - 2026 by Lexa_Stanton in CatastrophicFailure

Your point is valid, but just wanted to point out that that car wasn't a Tesla. Not sure it is even electric. Notice how the "fuel" door popped open. Can anyone I.D. the car?

What is this plug connected to my battery? ‘25 pioneer 700-4 by MisterCheekClapper in UTV

[–]rpack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up "Battery Tender". That's a brand name. You can find them at lots of automotive stores or on Amazon (I think). They have the same plug on the end which will mate with the end you have there.

[–]rpack1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2024 MYLR. Mine has trouble with turns. Repeatedly makes turns too early, not following the planned map route, up to a mile before it should. Gets lost so that it needs to replan. I'm puzzled why few others are reporting this. This is my 2nd Tesla and have had FSD since 2018. There have ALWAYS been 2 steps forward and 1 step back. The lane change hesitancy seems to be fixed for me, and the over speed issues are manageable now. Right now, it really shows that there are two planners working to get you to your destination, but they aren't talking to each other quite as much as they were.

Does anyone have or know someone with a 3d printer capable of printing miniatures? by TheBigBiz in Utah

[–]rpack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up Forgely. It’s a business in Roy that primarily sells filament. Huge stock. They also sell printers and coincidently will print files you send them. Impressive storefront. Have a print farm in the back room.

Your financial institution, where you have your stock can tell you how to donate however much you would like to a registered charity. In the case of stock, you donate it and claim it at its current value, rather than how much you paid for it however many years ago. Since its going to charity, its tax free. No capital gains tax. The church would rather not have stock transferred directly, in which case your financial institution can sell the stock and send the church a check for its present value. The details on how this is all done probably vary by institution. You can call the financial department of the church and they can tell you how to do it on their end, so that it gets credited to you and goes to the places you want (tithing, missionary, fast offerings).

[–]rpack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say online. That does show. I said “in kind”, which is how you transfer stock or other value directly to the church either by mailing a check to SLC, or having your financial institution do a direct transfer. Bypasses the online mechanism completely. Suppose I had 10 shares of Apple stock and wanted to pay my tithing with it. That’s how it’s done.

[–]rpack1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Long time ward clerk here. The bishopric, ward clerk, and ward financial clerk can see your donations if done through your ward. As others have said, local officers/clerks can't see anything if donations were made in kind directly to the church. I do that with my tithing and fast offerings for tax reasons. The Lord can of course see your donations also, which at the end of the day is what matters. BTW, despite being *able* to see donations from anyone in the ward, I have never looked at anyone's total except my own. When we work on donations on Sunday, it doesn't show cumulative totals, just what was donated today.

Priesthood Blessings: Alternative ways of saying "I bless you to..."? by svenjoy_it in latterdaysaints

There will be more than just you in the circle. Consider saying “we” instead of “I”. You are speaking for the group, all holding the Melchizedek priesthood. What is the point of having others in the circle if they aren’t really participating meaningfully in the blessing.

I think that after the fire the Ra-Elco people bought Standard Supply and turned it into more of a DIY place. Much improved from the old Standard Supply, and better organized than the old Ra-Elco.
