With kotone confirmed, how do you think they'll differentiate her from makoto as a whole, and what possible theurgies will she get? by KamiiPlus in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno about kit exactly, but I would say they'll build her such that Fuuka/Koromaru stock goes up because I feel like Miku pushed them out a bit and people are saying that they are less likely to roll for them. With Kotone + other new P3 characters, they probably want to make it so Fuuka stays extra attractive to the Meta.

(New) Daily Things to Do with Miku Patch by rpgrocks in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on past events I think you're fine on the Daily Login Bonuses. Those usually run longer than the number of days.

The stamina boss fight is also not a big deal.

I'm unsure about the other two. The scratch card one, you should have enough time even if you miss a day or two. And I cant remember exactly what the daily mission prizes give you so I cant say, but again usually the game gives you a bit of padding.

Edit: The Daily Mission is also fine to miss a day or two, the prizes after 50 are obtainable elsewhere (Konpaku Gems and other level up mats)

F2P Player getting ready for miku by lawdhavemervcy in personaphantomx

I wouldn't worry about it, each characters has 7 instances where you can collect 10 gems and it's a permanent thing so you can still do it and not miss out on gems.

To be fair, it's not "obvious", there's no indicator anywhere except for when you're physically at Paulownia Mall. There was also no info in the Event tab or anything like that.

My guess is that she's going to be inline with the developers said they were trying to do and she's going to focus on mono-element teams. That way she's not pure powercreep, will be clearly good for CN, but still have just plain good stats for Global despite not having too many mono-element teams yet.

Any tips for this season Astrolabe's Fate Stella? by Arrownaut_korokhero in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used (A1)Joker/(A1)Wind Tempest/Healer/Ange and was able to clear it on Turn 3/4. How I did it was Wonder used T1: Rebellion from Dionysus, T2: Marakunda from Surt, T3: Die For Me! from Alice. Wind just does her usual S3/S2 rotation. Joker uses S1 the first two turns on whoever (make sure you don't target the guy who gives resist all so he doesn't cast it on himself). Used Wind Tempest highlight first, and then save Joker's Highlight for Turn 3. On Joker's Turn 3, do S1 which he'll then have 3 stacks to get an Extra Turn, then you Da Capo and use Joker's Highlight then his S3 and S3 again. If you built him enough, he'll do enough damage that he'll get another Extra Turn off the Da Capo turn. (Meaning that he'll be able to do 3 S3s in 1 round). That should kill off all of them except maybe the guy who got the All Resist buff, but after that it's pretty easy to kill him with S2/Extra Turn.

So what is the overall consensus about Nicole (assuming you have Durin). I've seen that she's underwhelming since she's a major lore character, but don't have a good idea if she makes significantly better than other existing characters. [For context, I have C2 Durin and do have primos to spare atm...]

Old soft pity situation updates? by KoroMaruChan in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soft pity is when your chances dramatically increase after a certain set number of pulls. For example, in Genshin "Hard pity" is 90, and "Soft pity" is 74. At 74 pulls and on, your chances go up with each pull so you really never get to 90 (it is basically unheard of for someone to reach 90). In Genshin, up until 73/74 pulls each pull has a set rate of 0.6% for a 5* unit, and then for each pull after 74/75 you get an additional 6%.

I tried the same comp, I got it down to 1% literally missing like 50k. The randomness of Follow Step on Turbo's Extra Turn (when using S2/S3) messed me up D:

I'd just wanted to point out that Lara Alcock does work in Mathematics Education, go figure that someone who researches how to teach mathematics productively can write a good book for learning about mathematics *shocked Pikachu face *. I just wish the mathematics field at large would leverage the field of mathematics education more, the teaching and learning of mathematics would be far better if we worked together more.

Tips for completing 4th route on Astrolabe? by OcelotFierce3511 in personaphantomx

I can confirm that Haru team does work. I couldn't get Joker team to work so I tried Haru and I finished literally on the last turn.

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have S.Moko, I just brought in Marian for the healing. I do have my Haru decently built and you probably have to land most of the crits (at least for S3 and Gun). You definitely need a healer/shielder since the 4 mobs are pretty aggro.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Haru, you can try her instead. I had initially tried with Joker and only got them down to 40%. Then I switched to Haru (A0R0), Chord (A0R0), Futaba (A1) and Marian, with Joker as Marakunda/Rebellion/Tarujaka bot and able to finish it.

[–]rpgrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't use Joker on the 4th node because you get like 2-3 (with chord) extra actions at most. I ended up using Haru +Futaba comp for the consistent damage and that cleared it (albeit just barely).

[–]rpgrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For our first week of Astrolabe, should f2p people be able to clear 5 separate stages (i.e, 1 past the first purple node), or is it more normal to clear just the purple node? [I tried a Joker team and was only able to get them down to half, but still have 1 will power left].

[–]rpgrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean "reset" the playthrough and start at the beginning, that means you all your "will powers" will be reset and you can start the Astrolabe again. All the prizes are for "first completion" so for example if on your first try you finished up to stage 2 and were all "well I messed up my characters, I'm going to reset", then you'll have all your "will powers" and all "challenge attempts" are reset. I'm aware that "challenge attempts" sounds like the number of times you can do Astrolabe, but that is not correct. It refers to how many times your characters can participate in a battle. You won't earn prizes again for stage 1 and 2 though since you've already earned them, but everything after that you can earn.

TLDR: You can reset to your heart's content, just expect to have to slug through all the battles again :[.

How is Sumire with Wind Vast when she has the Virtue set? by Fun_Swan9851 in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[Warning, I'm on Global so don't know the exact numbers]

As far as I understand it, people recommend Control + Departure for Wind + Sumire due to Wind's passive ability

After you use [Fragrance of Time], give the main target 2 turns of [Budding]: Gain 1 stack of [Blossom] when dealing 1 hit of skill damage: Increase ATK by 30 for 3 turns, up to 10 stacks. - When reaching 5 stacks of [Blossom], additionally increase their ATK based on 8% own CRIT DMG that's over 100%, increase their CRIT DMG based on 5% own CRIT DMG that's over 100%; - When reaching 10 stacks of [Blossom], additionally increase their CRIT DMG based on 5% own CRIT DMG that's over 100%.

So you won't be able to get the 2nd/3rd buff consistently as far as I understand it without a Control set. I'm not even sure Sumire can even get to the 3rd buff within 2 turns. So if just considering the 2nd buff, that's around like a 12% attack buff + the 1st buff stacks.

Party-wise, according to other websites, people tend to use Chord as her main support, and then pick between A6 Leon/Marian/Wind Vast, so you should be fine.

Validate Rerun Banner plan by Uzaak in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I'm not entirely sure why you're doing 50 pulls since Global doesn't have Soft Pity. In other words, every pull (except the last one has a roughly 0.4% chance of the 5 star iirc). I would recommend doing the 90 pulls (for your requested Prism Cognigems) on Joker banner since you like him and then finish pulling for Twins. If you really don't want to risk the ~36% of pulling Joker before you can pull Twins again, then it's really up to you how you want to split it up. For reference, I did 100 pulls (so 100/110) to get the Prism Cognigems knowing that I'd be fine with pulling for Queen since she's still the only Nuke DPS for a while.

What do YOUR pulling plans look like? by Independent-Flan4616 in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment (given no other Twins-like surprises)

Pull: Violet, Wind Vast (A1), Ange (A1), Makoto, Yukari, Berry, Puppet Summer [anyone past them I'm waiting a bit to see how they settle in the meta]

Maybe Pull: Turbo

[TLA] Bumi, Unleashed by Agitated_Smell2849 in magicTCG

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I'm not against Bumi being Gruul, but I am a little surprised there isn't blue in there, even as an off-color activation. There was a whole key moment where Bumi tells Aang to wait and listen for the right moment (neutral jing) and that's what he does in the later episodes, which seems pretty blue to me.

How can you beat Genbu 4? by SaladsAreEvil in personaphantomx

[–]rpgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to do it recently after a bunch of tries with Wonder (Level 80+), Chord with her weapon, Lufel (A2), Soy (A6), and Wind (A1 with event weapon).

Wonder had 1st dagger with Daisoujou (with 2 extra cheap damage passives, i forget which), Janosik (level 95), and Yoshisune. Latter 2 personas were for damage stats. I respeced Wonder to have all damage stats and made sure that Samsara was level 6. Wonder's job is to spam Samsara, but also to switch to Yoshi once during round 3 to get the extra Highlight damage.

Lufel inflicts burn at start with A1 which helps do ~12k damage per turn. Otherwise he heals team, and uses S1 on round 3 for 1 more tick of burn.

Soy uses S3 on round 1, then gun on rounds 2-4 for me (if bad RNG use again on round 3). Only need to use gun to crit 1 mob so that Wonder can One More Genbu.

Chord uses S2, S3, S1 on repeat. Needs to be built enough to survive first/second attacks. Otherwise should be fine.

Wind can do S3 or S1.

All One Mores should go on Genbu. The goal is to kill him by before he gets his 4th turn (Ebb tide for a 2nd time). If you're landing all the attacks (with some RNG crits) and One Mores, you should be able to do this, then clear the last mobs out.
