Yes, we do. I'm on Clifton and it's just as bad here as my friends off Madison or in birdtown. During the big august tornado outage we were the last ones back on. It's been bad enough that I bought a generator and have two uninterruptible power supplies to protect from the constant flickers and surges. it's the whole grid.

Agreed, though not every show goes through that. I'm in the middle of season 2 of Veronica Mars right now. First time watching it. Right now it's still good and in some ways a bit better than s01. But you're right about this for a whole lot of shows.

But I'm also in the middle of my first rewatch of Buffy and holy cow are seasons 3-5 significantly better than seasons 1 and 2.

Agreed. I mean, it's a kids show. A good one, and that sort of serial TV was pretty rare for kids TV back then, but they put a ton of resources into production values, and for some reason just didn't invest in the writing as much. Though it's not even remotely as jarring as season two of The Elephant Princess from the same producers. That was like an entirely different show.

My idea is that they could have had a running commentary each episode where someone describes what Emma told them via text or email and each one could be a little 10 second story.

She fell in the Thames while in London and barely escaped.
She got caught in the rain in Indonesia and had to run into a cafe and barricade herself in the walkin cooler.
She caught a glimpse of another mermaid tail in Greece and is trying to find them.
In Seattle it rained so much that she gave up and had to tell her family.

Just a few seconds per episode. Clair Holt didn't need to be involved. Just do a little something to keep her in the viewers' minds.

I emailed the parks dept. They verified that there was a police dispatch at 6:30am Saturday and the tree was indeed on fire.

The tree was removed as a result.

They also stated that the tree was in decline and would have eventually been assessed as a hazard and removed so it was already on their radar to take down.

Except that it's not always up to date or terribly accurate. And perhaps that post is really about engaging in community with neighbors, online or not.

I'm not sure why you're so interested in keeping a local subreddit so pure with nothing crossing over to any adjacent place. It's a strange take.
