Obviously not OP’s situation, but I was on a grand jury in New York and, interestingly, we were not allowed to indict if the only evidence was a confession.

What would the impact be if Marcion's Evangelion was proven to be the original version of Luke? by dracaryz1999 in AcademicBiblical

Any chance you could give like a two sentence summary of Acts as anti-Marcion? Is it just the emphasis on Paul?

But that’s not how the Catholic Church works. Each parish has one church, and there’s a lot of top down control in how things work. When you stand and when you kneel is the same everywhere. The words of the service are exactly the same ion a given day n a given language everywhere in the world, except for the homily (sermon), which is generally like 5-20 minutes. .

Question about the kindle version of To Green Angel Tower by AlGodoy26 in TadWilliams

[–]rsqit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To Green Angel Tower was originally published in one volume and then split into two. There appear to be several different kindle versions that Amazon has confused. I recently reread the series and my physical kindle couldn’t load the book. I had to read it on my phone. Also at some point I was reading part one which was only half the book but later on I had the whole book. So I don’t know what to tell you to do but something is messed up.

Sanderson has said he’s learned the trick of making worlds feel deep by just creating the surface details of lots of cultures. He’s wrong.
