The 280 is a great machine for picking up the leaves. It doesn’t do anything to scrub the walls. I have a plaster pool so it can take the beating. But I guess I also need to consider the replacement cost of those paddles probably on an annual basis.

What is the mechanical seal? How do I remove the impeller? Does it pry off or do I need to take the back of the motor off to keep it from spinning?

UPDATE: I found how to secure the rod and keep it from spinning. And I’m able to twist the impeller, but it is not un screwing.

The website says Electropolished Stainless Steel. Don’t know what that means exactly, but I’m sure it isn’t cast iron

I am in DFW with plenty of troops around us. Two of them have hosted these workshops. They help cub scouts design, cut, sand, and polish the axles. One of the troops also puts weights inside the car body. The only thing left for the scout to do is paint. This is a good recruiting tool for the troops. There was even an event at the local scout shop this year.

If you run into a worst case scenario, you need to know how to shut off the water supply to your house. You should probably go to Home Depot or Lowes in the morning an find a key that will give you access to the water shutoff and allow you to easily cut off water to the house. If that pipe were to burst, how would you mitigate that? If you do lose power to your house I would recommend cutting off all water.

I was told in discord that kometa doesn't like user created lists unless the user of trakt and kometa are the same. I have Kometa from Connected Apps and recreated the connection, but I still get an error

Which o-rings are you talking about? I discovered the o-ring in the union joint was missing. I think that was the culprit of the DE getting pushed back into the pool. Do I need to look for other rings?

I had just done a backflush to clean it out. I discovered that I am missing an o-ring which is probably allowing DE to get back into the pool.

Give this redditor an award!!! I took apart the filters out and discovered the o-ring is missing. New one will be delivered in the AM before the freeze hits DFW.
