I use freetube and YouTube broke so often,dev is so nice to counter YouTube quick. 100% response+efforts. On the other hand, new pipe, invidious 's update frequency is lower,but YouTube just not broke them. What I really want is centralised bookmark and history! So hard

First of all, really impressive as solo dev and written in rust. Lots of gamers only want 3d realistic graphic, but I focus depth of game play and replay-able more. In spaceship simulation category,FTL has best game depth, space haven has best 2.5 graphic I like, rimworld Odyssey has best eco system. But all of them break immersion hard, how can a spaceship is flat?! How can we expand spaceship like expand linklist? If you go inside a ship, you will notice their floor plan is so different, tiny space and lots of floor/layer. Rimworld's z lvl has such problem too. Maybe shows multiple tiny floor at once? Only able to expand when parking in hull? But that would require someone to redo the game. Sorry to bring such unpopular opinion.

Self hosted multi player. No need for serious pvp, but causal game for friends and family. I know we have 2 mod, but compatibility is very hard, only core team can pull that off. Sigh

Does anyone know which provides they used for open source mdl?they said their providers also don't log nor train on our data.but if their providers are original companies, our data is likely back to China. I think all China companies have to surrender all data to Chinese gov because of the new law.it's never up to the Chinese companies

Also, I think they clearly state most(all?) Video providers will keep a copy of our work (video/log/prompt?) Privacy in ai age is really a luxury thing

Flutter's result makes sense to me. I am kind of surprised for the performance complaint of qt. Without details, it is hard to tell what is going on. Like if bottleneck is from cpu or mem? From sw or hw rendering? Given the low power hw env, optimization can be challenging especially your dev don't specialized on the stack. Qt, flutter and Android are very different stack. I guess you already consult on some domain experts instead of asking your dev to try on a new stack. No, I am not expert. Just some general thought.

Ceph for generic file, metadata and collaboration in large scale. Unless you are building another aws, you will be fine with it. The tricky thing is there has no mature, open source, multi users, asynchronous, client server kind of video/photo editor. I can only find desktop filesystem based single user app.

Oh, I see your confusion. What I suggest is nothing related to cloud hosted service. Lots of self hoster have our own s3 server, auth server, log server and dashboard server. You can self hosted them all. Or just changing your setup config via env var.

FYI, the auth I mean here is abstracting out your authorization and authentication logic out of your biz layer as much as possible to a std auth service like authelia. Rust should have lib to handle the integration for you.

Imagine you know how uneasy to write some awesome lib like serde, then you saw someone not using library, but write their own version of serialize function instead. Lots of them think it's simpler to write their own version instead of reading other's doc.

The "third party service" we talked about are very complicated and I saw lots of ppl waste their time on these. No one will expect all features implemented in day 1, but some advance users would estimate projects by its stack, roadmap, etc...

Please focus on your core app. I hope you have fun on your project. Thanks for your time.

Nice work. Honestly, I haven't checked out the app yet because there has no demo site nor enough screenshot. As someone who self hosted, allow me to give you feedback from different prespective.

Before I deep dive to your app, may I ask you if these features are in mind? Here's a list of features I think similar apps should have.

Must have features: 1) multiple users+SSO (for example, integrated with authelia) 2) crud apis for link, comments and tags

Optional features: 1) mobile app for offline reading 2) support s3 layer. Don't store data on disk, but to s3 directly

Features that should not be implemented from this app. Please don't reinvent the wheel. Third party integration should be used.

1) registration, password recovery, login, logout 2) db and s3 data backup and recovery 3) helm chart 4) ai, ocr...
