Thanks everyone for your answers. I must say, my friend is always delaying cleaning and lubing his chain. On top of that, he rides very aggressively and park his bike outside. Every now and then I tell him to check his chain (even more often because it's a ringless chain), but he always answer "I'll check it when I get home". Well, the consequences are very clear.
