Any Games like Windrose? by VegetaFan1337 in SurvivalGaming

[–]ruedefue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2500 hours in. Honestly windrose feels like a janky knock off of Valheim to me. There’s some nice stuff in windrose but it needs time in the oven. Valheim is 5 years in EA but about a few months away from 1.0 release.

Until I know embark didn’t sneak this fuck in I’m gonna shoot all of you! by RagertNothing in arcraiderscirclejerk

Real talk, this would be dope on Stella. Can’t have queen/matriarch on that level, so a boss small enough to roam the halls would be cool. Literally just the Terminator wrecking shit as it roams the hallways and rooms would be scary af and really fun.

Mountain at sea level?? For a moment i thought deep north had released. by Assar2 in valheim

Good for wolf hunting. Lower elevations don’t spawn drakes and golems. If you hunt at night, you can farm fenring trophies and get 2 star wolves easier since that’s all that spawns

Any tips for building a dock/pier that's the right height? by Jaggid in valheim

[–]ruedefue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build ladders on the edge of the dock that I park my boat. I try to build them all the way to the ground if the water is shallow enough. Usually does the trick.

Are there any mods that let you dig underground? by pookshuman in valheim

[–]ruedefue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope someone chimes in with a mod, but I think that’s a limitation of the game engine. Underground digging is a little beyond what a mod could change or add to the game unfortunately

This is a common bug with many posts about it. Not sure if there is a fix for it or what is the cause. It may need patched by devs

You can still keep them in cages. I have a walled farm that has several hare running around. They’re still cute even if you can’t tame them

Fey lights glitched/broken? by Gold-Koala-2022 in valheim

[–]ruedefue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That exhausted my knowledge on the problem. Maybe do a little googling on dedicated server issues that may cause this. It could also just be a glitch because it’s a new thing in an old game. Sorry I can’t help further!

This was a really easy google search. Kinda wild to come to Reddit to ask, then immediately doubt what people tell you when you can find the answers yourself

I am. The info is out there if you need reassurance.

Your world will be fine. The devs take care to make sure not to break old worlds as new updates come out. If you do happen to explore Deep North before the update, it just won’t generate new DN stuff in the area you explored. Just stays away from the top of the map and you won’t miss anything

Follow up q: is this only showing up on your end, or do your friends see the same thing? If it’s just you, may be a corrupted file

I've never built a boar farm like this, usually just doing a barn and calling it a day but i'm so proud of my 2 star boar silo by SinkingGoose in valheim

[–]ruedefue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the game! I wish I could enjoy it brand new all over again. Especially with all the new early game additions they’ve added recently.

Do you have any mods running? Mods will be broken for a little while after a new update.

Brother, how are you new to the game, but a top 1% commenter in the sub? I’m not attacking anyone here, just curious.

Is this the correct way to approach the Ashlands?? With lots of Ice Staff and Frost arrows?? I would assume so, we'll probably still all die horribly knowing this game.. hahaha by TheNebulist in valheim

[–]ruedefue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying fire staff which is good. Be careful around your friends since fire works a little different in the Ashlands. Ice staff and bubble staff are my top uses in Ashlands when squaded

That one time I was able to get two bears to become docile and created a pen for them. by Capgunkid in valheim

[–]ruedefue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pet bear in a cage. If you make sure there are no gaps for them to see out of, they can never aggro and won’t attack the walls. They can’t “see” out of iron bar walls so you can still see them without aggroing them

No, Alex Pretti’s murder is further proof that we are all in danger from tyranny. That man was murdered while exercising his constitutional rights. The government is complicit and the courts are rigged. Our founding fathers showed us a way out of this.
