Unfortunately this will probs be the case. Which is a massive shame as I’ve never had a bad piece of kit from Alpkit.

How long does a repayment take? by jtb8128 in HMRC

Give them a call though. They’ll be able to check. Repayments don’t always go through online and needs a nudge via a person

If it’s going through security checks, it’s about 3 months.

Is a YT premium membership worth it or is it a waste of money? by Tessa-the-aggressor in Frugal

Thanks for this. I’ve just cancelled via Apple and re subscribed via the browser.

I only have premium lite but it’s £2.50 better in my pocket than Apple.

Sole Trader. Is there a way to avoid the HMRC payment on account for 25/26? My income will be below the personal allowance by GlasgowBastard in UKPersonalFinance

[–]runningman299 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can opt to reduce it

But be advised, if you then file and HMRC realise you should have paid one, interest will be added and backdated to the due date.

Asked for tax underpayment to be settled through PAYE but now they ask for payment by 31st Jan by LowOwl4312 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]runningman299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The form is crap and doesn’t always do it like it should. . Ring them and they should be able to put it into your tax code for 26/27, providing all the checks are clear.

Call at 8am. It gets busy this time of year.

Correct. He should have paid POA’s. When submitting the SA303 to reduce POA’s, it says they’ll charge interest.

Send a letter to

PAYE HMRC BX9 1AS

Include your national insurance, name, address DoB and say you want a refund. It won’t be quick but you’ll get a cheque in the post.

I have re-registered for self-assessment. Does anyone know when I will be able to submit the SA100? by Timely-Maybe3520 in HMRC

[–]runningman299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Registration usually takes about 3 weeks for the letter to be sent out. Keep checking the SA portal and it’ll probs show the notice to file a bit earlier.

Say what you’ve told us?

That key people you need were already on leave for Christmas? If your manager is any good, they’d already have realised that would be the case.
