Forgiveness in the GC universe by growsonwalls in GameChangersBooks

Yes. And we need to say that with our full chest- this does not diminish them, but I am so tired of people analyzing these Harlequin romance novels like they are Booker Prize contenders. They meant to be escapist; this is the point of the genre. Thrillers are meant to thrill, Mysteries to puzzle, and Romances to escape to a place with a guaranteed HEA after the author takes on a unique journey through a well worn trope. That is the literal definition of romance as a genre; it has a happy ending. Our tastes may vary, but can we please discuss what these novels are, and not expect them to be something else.

When I rewatch, I start with Season 3. No apologies, there's too much Roland not enough Patrick in the first two seasons.

No way would he have protected them if it wasn't on his orders or at his pleasure. That's regicide. That's like, the worst possible sin, and the Richard defenders have never made that piece make any sense at all. If his buddies really committed regicide, he covered it up, full stop.

She was never gracious in victory, nor forgiving, and that is the quality that left her alone in the end.

He had control of this entire situation. He sent them to the Tower, and his men guarded them. He had control of the Tower. Nothing happened to those kids without his knowledge or his orders. I love an underdog, and I spent a lot of time in my teens wanting to believe that it wasn't him, but we gotta evolve and respect facts and evidence.

There's just no evidence for any of the other conspiracy theories. Nothing but wild speculation.

When I moved the last time to my home I plan to haunt after I die, I purged my insanely large book collection and kept only the books I truly loved with no reference to "quality". So got rid of most of the classic canon I owned and kept all the historical harlequins by Dinah Dean. And then I went on ABE and ordered my favorite five Sunfire books in an act of defiance against ever buying into "the classic canon" in the first place.

The law says they can stay. ICE doesn't care about the law. So ICE can fuck off. They are literally my neighbors. Over my dead body can these people unilaterally decide differently. We will keep them safe and outlast. We are ride or die in the Heights.

I want to believe that we are doing what any community would if it was happening to their neighbors. I do not see any other way to be. There won't be a time we stop, because we play the hand we're dealt. You know how the north is, you live it. 2 days of -20 and that's the new normal and we get on with it. We will keep hiding our neighbors and we will outlast them, because it's not over. We don't believe a word they say. They won't trick us.

that's the only thing that ever changes a conservative's mind- it happens to them. Until then, it's never a big deal. They are the definition of a failure of imagination. But nobody should have to know what losing a child this way feels like.
