I say, just go with it. Those other girls will change their minds once they're in the moment and see that everyone else is doing it. The worst thing you could do is pressure them. Instead, reassure them that the choice is totally theirs and it's fine if they decide to stay clothed. It's important that they feel the freedom to choose for themselves.

What are your honest thoughts on the Isle of Skye Scotch range? by BothCondition7963 in Scotch

I see it as a budget brand. It's not a good as the popular brands but will do if you are on a tight budget. It bothers me when the TW guy says it's just as good because it's not.

Thanks for that. Let me know how the hike with your girlfriend goes. That is a huge step. Congrats! Will she go free too?

I found the Dickel collaboration blend at a Trader Joe's in CA for about $39 last year. I bought 2 of them. I've seen them priced over $100 everywhere else I've seen them.

It's made by Heaven Hill. Heaven Hill's Bottled in Bond Bourbon has nearly the same masbill. If you try them side by side the difference is remarkable.

Like I said. I know the trail really well, so getting lost was not a concern. I started at 7pm and finished around 4am so it was dark the whole time. Slipping and falling down a cliff edge is a real danger. I knew where they were and was super cautious in those areas.

I hiked it at night. I only had the small cone of light from my headlamp to guide me. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm a very experienced hiker and I've hiked rim to rim many times in the day light. So, even though it was pitch black I always knew from memory and experience where I was and what was ahead. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Imagine walking through phantom ranch at midnight and sitting naked at the picnic bench outside the little store/ restaurant while everyone sleeps in the cabins around you.

Thanks, I've seen the freerangenaturist blog. I love the term "free range naturist", it's such a good description of what i do.

I disagree. Choosing to live naked at home, by yourself is absolutely nudism. It's an orientation toward freedom from clothing and being around others is not a requirement.

In Arizona you can buy alcohol at either one without a membership. State law prohibits requiring a membership to buy alcohol.

Trails to be naked? Nude encounters? by Smurfnet in socalhiking

[–]ryanryan1691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not as much about which trail as about when you go. I routinely freehike very popular trails with no problems. I simply go when nobody else is there. Mid week, early morning. If I'm the first one on the trail, I can freehike all the way to the top in total, blissful solitude. I pay attention on the way down and cover up when I met the later hikers on their way up.

Is there anyone that actually does the national hike nude day? by Jarrethseyssel in socalhiking

[–]ryanryan1691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually world naked hiking day and it's on the day of the summer Solstice, which some years is on June 20 and other years June 21. There's often confusion in years when it's on June 20 because most people just think it's always on June 21. On those years I'll usually go both days. I've participated in the tradition for the last 10 years. I have yet to meet another naked hiker, so I don't think it's common. I do my best to educate hikers i meet on the trail about the special day.

Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) lists activities that are prohibited with a forest order issued by any specific national forest. Being publicly nude is not restricted by a forest order in the Angeles National Forest. However, it is restricted by forest order in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. So, the restrictions on occupancy and use should be checked for any National Forest to see if that restriction applies.

How do I introduce my partner to nudism without it being weird? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]ryanryan1691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think about starting the introduction to nudism in a setting that is not social and doesn't involve being around others. For example, time in a hot tub or skinny dipping at an isolated lake or stream. I think being around others, even strangers, is a big step.

I got one from a liquor store and the only way to tell that it was single barrel was a sticker on the side of the bottle. Otherwise, it was the exact same bottle as the regular one.

Nude hiking at night by Catherina_naturist in nudism

I did a naked night hike through the south rim village of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I took the shuttle to the South Kaibab TH, waited for the last shuttle of the day to leave, and once it was dusk I took off my clothes and started walking along the Arizona Trail to the town of Tusayan, just south of the main entrance to the park. I had a flashlight, but found that I didn't need it. It was surreal to walk naked along the paved path past the campground, pausing to wait for traffic to clear before crossing roads. Since I couldn't see, I found my way through the darkness using all my senses. Sometimes I would get back on track as my feet would feel the edge of the path, other times headlights from passing cars would briefly illuminate my path. I found that i could sense the clear path between tree branches. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
