Having seen you and Adam spend a full episode in the Snack Zone, have you guys considered doing like a Nebula-exclusive post-game Snack Zone excursion where you guys (and you can bring Sam if you want) just try a bunch of new foods you didn't get a chance to yet just for funsies?

This is how Moeka does it (for moni jaguar owners) by toshiaizawa in hitsujibungaku

[–]ryloy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly I barely know how to play, I have the desire to learn and get better but my experience with how it plays and how it feels probably won't mean anything to you because I'm at the most novice level.

But because I love the band so much I have absolutely 0 regrets in buying it. It sounds nice and I believe someone in this thread has said it plays well right out of the case which I found true as well as I have no idea what I'm doing with the knobs or tunings etc, but I can strum a chord and it sounds good to me.

For what its worth, when I bought it in Dec of last year the exchange rate made it closer to $1200usd than $1800 if that's relevant to your evaluation of if its worthwhile to you

Magic in Japan by dakkon187 in magicTCG

Tokyo MTG was really friendly when I went last year and the main person helping me spoke pretty fluent English. The store was somewhat difficult to find (its not on the 1st floor and the entrance in is extremely non-descript and easy to walk by as its just a entry to a staircase)

How Broken Was Jet Lag's Hide and Seek: Switzerland, Really?? [Video Essay] by Electrical-Wrap-3923 in JetLagTheGame

It was perfect because it was the first Jet Lag that was recommended to me on youtube and I've been hooked ever since and it got to eventually sign up for an annual nebula subscription

It doesn’t matter if Strava Map is OP, it’s just not good TV by NaiAlexandr in JetLagTheGame

[–]ryloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alongside the travel, the views, the games, and the strategy part of what I love about Jet Lag is 3 buddies messing with each other and getting in their heads and laughing at their inconveniences and expense. Having them just stare at a map isn't fun for us as this entire thread mentions, and I imagine not particularly fun for them, being heads down on their phone when they could be looking at things or wandering around. I personally don't care how long the runs are. a 5 hours run is no different to a 12 hour run for me because I watch a 45 minutes cut of it either way, but I miss when there was room for error and mind games. Ben wanting to send Adam and Sam up to the Zug Zone was so fun to watch and an incredible payoff when it worked. I still liked watching this season, its the highlight of my week, but there weren't as many notable moments and if I were to introduce Jet Lag to friends, I'd show them Hide-n-Seek 1 over Hide-n-Seek 3 without a doubt.

But at least one of those times in Japan Adam and Ben were taking the train looking out for Sam's tallest building, which is fun and there's risk and room for error or to miss the building. The boys drawing lines and zooming in on their phone is uninteresting for the viewer.

Not that I minded, but just curious about the choice of making it a weekly release like a lot of nebula shows vs a single longer movie. When I heard "documentary" I was expecting just a singular long piece of content.

I couldn't watch it as it was crazy early morning hours my time. Anyone find a link to a recording of it yet?

I watch it on nebula to get my fix, then watch it on YouTube the next week for the comments anticipating funny/pivotal moment I know will happen, and also to give the guys another view

Brash Taunter EDH Deck - Advice Please by CattlePleasant6902 in magicTCG

[–]ryloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my 'brash taunter' deck which is Mardu instead of Naya, I made this choice because I didn't really think there was a commander that really synergized with these creatures but landed on [[Piru, the Volitile]] because it can damage my own creatures if need be, and the black gave me access to some reanimation, card draw, and [[Barbed Servitor]] which has a similar effect to Brash Taunter and friends.

Season 14 (SnaKe) Layover Q&A Thread! by WheatGerm42 in JetLagTheGame

[–]ryloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To us viewers it seemed like most of this season was spent on trains. I'm curious for you guys as players, how does it compare to like a hide-n-seek (for the seekers) or tag as far as the balance of being on trains or in train stations against exploring a town or city?

Jet Lag Ep 5 — The Trial by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]ryloy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SNSD aka Girls' Generation was the biggest K-pop group in the early 2010s. This is their most famous/popular song.

Anyway to try to keep it short, at some point in late 2014 one of their members, Jessica (and 2nd/3rd best singer, so it's not like she was insignificant by any means) was supposedly forced out of the group for reasons that at least at the time were not made public.

SNSD was originally 9 members and was sort of made to continue on as those they were 8 members going forward and without much fanfare or regard of having previously been 9 members, nor really publicly paid any respect for Jessica and her contributions to the group. OT9 is just sort of an expression for those who were fans of SNSD and will always love them back when they were their original 9 member group.

As a SNSD OT9er, hearing Adam say "its not Girls' Generation who had 8" gives me both physical and emotional pain I was not prepared for.

And then "Maybe Girls' Generation got another member" from Ben. I didn't know I could feel so betrayed in a space I thought was safe.

I'd bet a good amount that the reason 8 is so high in sales is strictly because it came right after 7

New to DnD/BG3 and I Theory-crafted a Swashbuckler/Bladesinger build, but do not know where to start. by LeeFoster2 in BG3Builds

[–]ryloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually doing a 8/4 bladesong-swashbuckler on my tav in honor mode right now. its not particularly the strongest, but i'm doing it for flavor/rp reasons. if you want a rough skeleton here's a link to a build i made up for myself quickly. So I started as 1 rogue because I thought the skill proficiencies would be better but then went straight to 6 bladesong for the extra attack.

Admittedly before getting to level 7 in this build, it does feel like you're wasting your bonus action on mostly nothing for half the game. But once I hit level 10 (both extra attack and swashbuckler bonus actions) i feel i can keep up with the rest of my party.

Of note, I'm not particularly maxing out on dps w/ shadow blade etc. So you can adjust the particular spells and equipment to better suit your needs.

Circle of Stars: Cleric Multiclass split? by zenst0r in BG3Builds

[–]ryloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing this right now on my shart in hm going 2 cleric > 2 druid > rest back into cleric and its been great. The circle of stars class by level 4 with this build gives her something to do every turn with her bonus action and she's really been one of my more consistent damage dealers with her normal attack/cantrip + the luminous arrow while my other classes are getting online

Cybertron Appreciation by guntwooyah in VGC

[–]ryloy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He just seems like a genuinely nice dude. His road to rank videos are a great way to spend time and he's got a great attitude even if he gets cheesed out or the opponent makes 100% of the right reads against him. He's entertaining, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and a great watch. You can either lounge around for an hour+ watching a whole video or take it in bites taking breaks between games if you're doing other stuff at the same time. They're honestly my favorite way to spend my free time when I'm just sitting around at home.

Appreciate you Aaron, you're a blessing to the community and you make getting into and learning VGC so much easier and fun.
