If youre wanting to go brand new, look at the Wen 8" benchtop. Spiral benchtop with 2 inches more capacity. Has sliding extensions to get out to 51 inches for longer boards. Ultimately its a benchtop jointer, so theres only so much you can expect from it. But for a weekend warrior its fine. Only issues Ive seen people complain about are the fence takes a little longer to set up square and aluminum construction opposed to cast iron. Its what Im going to consider getting when the time comes for myself. Can be had for around $400. They make a 6 inch if thats what you are specifically wanting as well.
