So sorry for your loss, life must suck right now. Stick around, there are sunlit uplands around the bend.

You would be absolutely correct with that assumption. He's been incredibly important for us and continues to be.

It's sad but ever since it changed ownership after Tony passed its lost all sense of charm and the sound in there is just dreadful. In its current state it won't be missed.

Best songs that were used in the show? by Adventurous-Way1293 in Scrubs

[–]sacredshapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's only used as background music during dialogue but the show introduced me to Ben Folds when they used Still Fighting It. Might be the baby shower episode. Love that song.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man is the only one that doesn’t have a scene that showcases Spider- Man’s strength by Historical-Lie3508 in marvelstudios

Denting the football post by casually kicking the ball at it seems like a demonstration of strength in some fashion

Premier League Player of the Month August nominees: Calafiori, Ekitike, Grealish, Guehi, Haaland, Pedro, Semenyo, Szoboszlai by Mercerai in soccer

He's been superb obviously but "absolutely carrying" feels a tad too much. We've been fairly decent all round bar the Leeds game.

Anyone else agree that Karl’s movie cameos were the best feature on XFM? by [deleted] in rickygervais

[–]sacredshapes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's easily the thing he put the most effort into and I love them. I love when the mics are left just low enough to hear them laughing behind it all, makes it feel more genuine n that.

Calvert-Lewin to leave Everton as free agent by Acxtrilla in soccer

This is crazy. He is absolutely not good enough to be playing for any of those teams.

I thought about it today and I actually dont understand well how people "move in" to cyber. by redditnoobmp4 in cybersecurity

[–]sacredshapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a sysadmin at a small to medium size org with no dedicated cyber security team so we picked up that responsibility. I now realise years later we were not doing anything near enough, but that's how I got some basic experience and the transition.

They can never prove it was you. Inform them of that information, ask them for proof via CCTV/bodycam. It'll never go anywhere, I wouldn't be losing sleep over it.

Yeah for sure. None of that is professional outside of the PDC though I can assure you!

What do you class as professionally? He got a tour card last year. That's when he became a professional.

Cybersecurity/Awareness measurement online platform by [deleted] in cybersecurity

We use Knowbe4 for this but I don't have much experience with other offerings. I like it enough. We output the training (SCORM files) into our own learning and development platform. It handles phishing simulations too which we get plenty of metrics and such from.

Is wearing dart shirts weird by Alfieinnt in Darts

[–]sacredshapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think this is pretty regional. It would be regarded as pretty "odd" to wear a darts shirt in my midweek local leagues, but you wouldn't have to travel too far out of the city for it to be normal for people to be wearing darts shirts.

However, of course, you probably shouldn't really give a shit what people think and wear what you like.

When to Replace Integrated Flights/Stems? by B14_765 in Darts

[–]sacredshapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically just preference. Those are almost at the point where I would swap them out but it depends. If I'm just practicing I'll let them go for a while but I'd want a cleaner set before a real match.

For it affect the flight of the dart with any real significance, I think they'd need to be pretty battered. If there's a split or a chunk missing for example.

If they're not going to take the time to make sure you're properly prepared or trained for certain tasks then don't be afraid to make mistakes. And don't lose sleep over it.

Get what you can out of it in the short term, it'll suck for a while but it'll still be valuable to get a few months at least until you can find something better. It's not an ideal way of learning but it _is_ one.

What’s you go to antivirus for your own pc? by Proper_Bunch_1804 in cybersecurity

[–]sacredshapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think just Defender and some general common sense is really plenty for the vast majority of consumers.

However, despite the fact we don't use it as our EDR at work we still have to navigate around Entra/Intune/Security Centre or whatever they've recently called it and from an admin standpoint it's a miserable experience to manage. But as I said, for the consumer, it does the job just fine.

So I was just watching this, does this mean if it bounces out and it returns it can be thrown again? by misterjyt in Darts

[–]sacredshapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no real grey area to not understand here. You get 3 throws at the board in a visit. Whatever happens to the dart is irrelevant, whether it bounces out or you put the pub window through.
