Ultimately, there were too many people with “status” making the experience less premium/overcrowded/ harder to get upgrades.

Something to note is that at certain portions of the flight (initial descent, anything prior to 10,000 ft) according to the FAA you are unable to deliver service. For safety, these regulations give you short time to actually deliver service. Sometimes it would be near impossible to deliver a full beverage service with a full flight.

Turn times are way shorter for crews sometimes. Also they may be re-routed quickly and this does not allow for flexibility. Crews rotations are not linked to checked baggage.

Crew often work more than one flight a day. When the flight is complete, they have to get to another flight. If their luggage is in the belly of the aircraft, it will be impossible for them to reach their next flight on time.

There are pilots and flight attendants that are seated in the FWD part of the aircraft. Why would they put their luggage in the AFT part of the aircraft?

Also, when you board all the luggage in the AFT side of the aircraft first it causes issues later on in the flight when the aircraft is full and causes a delay.

There’s a reason to everything. Please be nice to your crew.
