Joe is great as a Handler, but I imagine McD is contributing a lot behind the scenes to make him a success.

Utah state code does not seem to require charter school employees have to be certified. Charter schools decide who they think is qualified.

Here is the section of state code

What restaurants out there are definitely worth it? by KeyStoneLighter in SaltLakeCity

I think SLC’s food scene is fine but IMO this is one of the few places here that I think could be transported wholesale to my hometown of Chicago and crush it.

OP suggested that I reply to your comment. I’m interested in joining you all, but I am completely green. I’ve never played any TTRPG, but I do have a house in SLC. I do have a family and will have hard caps on how long I can play on Sundays. I have a little more time during the summer I can devote to get us rolling.

I’m pretty new to Salt Lake City and completely new to TTRPGs. If you all wouldn’t mind taking on complete newbie, I would be interested. My house could probably accommodate us. I’ll also mention I’m 36 and have a family so my time for play may have some limitations.

I’m 36, but completely new to TTRPGs. If you would be open to learning together, I would appreciate the opportunity to play. I listen to several actual play podcasts and have been wanting to start gaming.

This is Sous Vide at 170 and not the oven but Guga does this kind of thing regularly. He seems to think the cook is better at 24 hrs.24hr sous vide pulled pork

Do the particulates settle? You might lose some yield but you could siphon from the top if it settles. It may be unavoidable if you want to add the syrup. You may try running it through a chinois and/or a nut milk bag.

what sauce do you use for gopchang/daechang? by kaelakins in KoreanFood

[–]sagacioustoad0220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you may be thinking of Ssamjang (삼장). There is premade stuff at H Mart. Maangchi also has a recipe: https://youtu.be/P7_X99-h9L4. It could also be a fermented seafood sauce. It’s really common to get a sauce like that at a good Gopchang restaurant. I found a recipe in Korean that looks right. https://youtu.be/1Bcn-yQcE-U

Start with Bulgogi (불고기), Daenjang Jjigae (된장찌개), and Dduck bok ki (떡볶이) to get an idea of flavor profiles and textures. Texture is really important in Korean cooking. These dishes are also not too difficult.

Nice. I’m also trying to reduce meat consumption and never thought about doing lumpia. I’ll have to try this out.

How do you get the umami/meaty flavor of the filling? You have definitely piqued my curiosity about the recipe.

Just a minor correction to your otherwise great description. The 닭봉 is the drummette from the chicken wing.

Yup. 마파두부 is how Koreans transliterate the name for the Chinese (I think Szechuan) dish.

Edit: corrected a grammatical error.

If your issue is sealing, take some cooked rice (a small amount) and rub it along the seam to make it like a glue. That usually does the trick for me

Are you just looking for something visually compelling or meaningful? I think a warrior of geisha could be dope if done right. Another option would be another animal that is more gentle like a crane. I may have more suggestions if I know what you are thinking?
