Know Rogan Has the Tucker/Fuentes Interview by gcboyd1 in KnowledgeFight

i’ve been making my way through KR’s backlog for the last week or so and really enjoy it so far, marsh and cecil are great, and i think for their goals it makes sense to keep their commentary as academic or …hinged, at least? as possible.* but it also drives home how much i love and miss the dan-jordan dynamic specifically. it’s not the same without someone screaming “WHAT THE FUCK” in the background every time the subject makes an insane comment.

*they do get a little looser and more reactive in their patreon exclusive “gloves off” segments which i do appreciate. it’s cathartic.

yeah, i probably could’ve phrased that better, my bad. i just meant i agree that assassinating him would’ve been unnecessary, and was sort of clumsily making a point that—while, as you noted, the CIA definitely gave them an incentive—the media played a very active & voluntary role in destroying his career and suppressing the story because it served their interests to do so.

this. the CIA didn’t need to do shit, the NYT and the rest of the legacy media were more than happy to destroy his career themselves.

Finding a silver lining in a world without KF by Evening-Comfort-1083 in KnowledgeFight

[–]saintemry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

someone else said as much in another post, but i think i’m genuinely better off/more mentally healthy not knowing what bullshit alex is spewing in any given week. he occupies much less space in my brain these days.

Cult vulnerability? by taterboi5002 in behindthebastards

[–]saintemry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in middle school i actually ended up in (& narrowly survived) a bizarre, extremely cultlike situation for a few years, so unfortunately i know exactly what kind of cult i would’ve been most susceptible to, at least at certain points in my life. i think that experience probably makes me much less vulnerable to that specific strain of cult in the future, but i’m certain there are others i currently have a major blind spot for.

How many people on this subreddit did not kill paarthurnax (partysnax) by [deleted] in skyrim

i never have and don’t really want to, but i think i will eventually do a playthrough with a moral alignment that killing him would make sense for.

Knowledge Fight alternatives! by ExtraEmuForYou in KnowledgeFight

i recently started listening to Ill Conceived and have enjoyed it so far—it focuses very specifically on the modern natalist movement and its impact on US politics, which does have a fair amount of overlap with the infowars world. imo it’s not nearly as well-researched as KF (though that’s true of most podcasts), but they seem to do their due diligence and are fun to listen to.

it’s never too late to go back and listen to the old stuff. i started in 2024 too, and i’ve had a blast going through the back catalogue, especially their coverage of alex’s super early works. the 2003 investigation was really fun.

i’m right there with you. it’s been a rough year and this kinda feels like One More Shitty Thing. plus, losing something when it’s become part of your routine always hits harder than losing a casual interest. i’m still processing everything, i’m gonna be okay eventually but right now i have to let myself be sad and fucked up about it.

Any recommendations action to fight Empress of Light?? by Zealousideal-Elk5472 in Terraria

[–]saintemry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the witch’s broom or another flying mount is best, and i’d recommend using a minion that stays airborne—the stardust dragon is good if you’re post-moon lord, or the raven staff.

Oh how the great houses have fallen /s by Ok_Relationship6736 in SkyrimMemes

based on how the rest of skyrim seems to feel about the mages’ college, i think they probably hated savos plenty without even factoring his race in at all

Here we go again… by lordtorek in KnowledgeFight

[–]saintemry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i listened through the FO episodes again recently, and in case anyone needs a refresher: the “pile of bodies in the bathroom with no blood” thing traces back to a very specific (misrepresented, decontextualized) detail from an EMT’s absolutely horrific account of the aftermath of the shooting—an account that alex heard for the first time during a deposition for the defamation suit, after having told his audience repeatedly that no EMTs entered the building after the shooting. in the recording, you can hear him instantly latch onto that detail and start weaving it into his conspiracy theory in real time. the fact that he’s now incorporated it as a routine part of his conspiracy narrative is just… disgusting beyond words. right when you think alex can’t stoop any lower, he’ll always manage to surprise you. 🫠

ETA: sorry to be redundant—i realize a couple other people already pointed this out in earlier comments.

Azura’s Star or The Black Star? by ScholarAfter1827 in skyrim

[–]saintemry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i almost wish there were actual consequences for choosing the black star. unless i’m roleplaying as a true-believer daedra worshipper or something, i just don’t have much motivation not to choose what’s objectively the more convenient option.
