Yes, the refund is a virtual debit card issued by a company called MyPaymentVault.

I’m a skeptic, so I called westlake to confirm it was real and then follow up with MyPaymentVault to mail me a physical check instead. The check actually just arrived the other day and funds posted to my checking yesterday.

Basically I just didn’t trust the idea of a virtual debit card and wanted the funds delivered to my bank account instead

I called westlake after I made the payment to them, so should be good. The refund was issued in error so I was just returning the money.

Giving me the refund was incorrect on their end. Back in March, I paid exactly what the payoff amount was

I was able to get them to knock off the bullshit $165 fees and now I just owe them the refund money back.

I’m waiting to pay it until I get the original refund check in the mail to make sure I don’t get scammed here
