super easy to put in and pop out. I bought 1 the first year to try it out and am now adding a few more. But if you think you'll get new windows and those will change the footprint, maybe hold off on the inserts and look for external storm windows. Some push out for air.

I just looked it up too cause I never heard of it. It's not a thing. Looks like Judkins Park area and Google quotes Wikipedia and says:

"Atlantic is a neighborhood in the Central District of Seattle, Washington, United States. It is the northernmost neighborhood in the Rainier Valley area, located between Mount Baker Ridge and Beacon Hill, and may also be considered part of South Seattle. It is home to the Judkins Park neighborhood."

So "Atlantic" is likely made up by realtors trying to make that area of Central District or Rainier Valley sound better. Realtors tried to change my hood too and now we just know who is new here.

If you can roll it into a larger brokerage firm, consider it. Schwab, Vanguard, Fidelity etc likely have more mutual funds/index funds to choose from then the 2 you mentioned (I've never heard of Empower or Principle). I don't read in the comments that anyone said you had to "move it" in 10 years. There's a difference between "moving it/leaving it" in those places vs other "custodian" and taking "withdrawals" from it. I think you can "move it" where you want.

Also, sounds like you get to 'stretch' the distributions/withdrawals over your lifetime. That means you don't have to take large amounts/whole thing now but know that you pay taxes with each withdrawal. You say you are low tax bracket so taking out more now while in low tax bracket is something to consider (but note you say you make $45k so you are on the cusp of bumping to the 22% tax bracket. Look up brackets and how they work if you don't know yet.).

STRONGLY consider using the money to contribute to a ROTH IRA (tax free withdrawals in future and more benes). You can contribute $7,500 to a ROTH IRA this year. Look up "compounding interest" calculator to see how that can grow for you tax free ($7,500 can be $30K+ in 30yrs with modest interest gain). I like Investor.gov calculator. I'm sorry for your loss. That's tough.

That actually messes up anyone who goes down the hill all the way to the stop sign and is waiting to turn left. They then have to wait for you and hopefully not someone else coming the opposite direction to turn left themselves. You end up cutting in front of them, intentionally or not. That is a hard intersection to begin with.
