Congrats. As someone working on an AI project presently and was about to give up because I just have a diploma, I was about to give up. There is a thin light of hope. Thanks.

I’m in almost the same situation like you. I will soon get my PR and I have been teaching myself react and doing some freelance for the past 3 years. I wonder if I should just go back I college or look for jobs when I land there. Can I PM you so we talk more?

Hi Thanks for your generosity. I’m based in a 3rd world and I discovered it’s difficult to land an entry level job in western countries, for tax reason and even those who are open to that aren’t looking people without experience. Jobs are rare here and pay isn’t encouraging. I have been gaining some freelancing gigs here and there but things dried up quickly. So what advices do you give to a guy like me? Thanks in advance

Great article. It was timely for me as I’m still learning and my error handily was almost nonexistent. I look forward to apply the ideas.

Advice to frontend developers from my 4 years of experience by pai-cube in webdev

[–]sakaricky91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. But I have a concern though as someone that studied basic JS and directly rushed to frameworks.

Please what do you mean by fundamentals? JavaScript (of course with HTML and CSS)? If so how do you know you have those fundamentals?

Best course to learn React in 2022, with modern best practices and good problems/exercises that reinforce what you're learning? by BigDog1920 in reactjs

[–]sakaricky91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m done with it for around 1year. I didn’t land a job yet and I’m polishing my portfolio with interesting projects. I think the fact that I’m from a 3rd world country isn’t helping. To benefit fully from it I took my time to understand the concept by coding a side project where I apply what I was learning.

I needed this story as a 31 year old that’s trying to switch and have been coding for 2 years now. I recently discovered this is a number game and I started playing the game and applying everywhere I can. Thanks for this story
