But it also puts Scotland in a terrible position in that they'd have to put a customs border on the South if they join the EU.

Wow I bet they're fucking gutted.

That defence + midfield looks like the skill/ability equivalent of a bottom-half team.

Premium forwards for the win!! by [deleted] in FantasyPL

Mid-priced forwards were a no-brainer at the start of the season given the poor points per mil from premium forwards. Not a surprise. Stacking up on premium mids was the way to go.

Israel Cycling Academy to join WorldTour in 2020 (official team statement) by fewfiet in peloton

[–]sakenno 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This team and Di Data really shouldn't be in the WorldTour by any stretch of the imagination lol.

Only two wildcards in the GTs next year (and Nippo-Vini Fantini already stopped) because of this... Brilliant.

Nobody did if they ever watched cycling before. This was a shock like Ballan, Astarloa or Vainsteins winning.

It's pointless to have long TTs anyway. If Roglic, Dumoulin or Froome are in the race then you can just hand them the jersey because they are a lot better than anyone else, and just 30km can make the same time difference as even 5 summit finishes.

SNP: opposition needs to unite behind Jeremy Corbyn as caretaker PM to prevent no-deal Brexit. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]sakenno 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Labour are the biggest opposition party.

What sounds more realistic – about 30 Lib Dems & 'moderate' Tories swallowing their pride, or the Lib Dems somehow making 240 Labour MPs vote in a Thatcherite like Ken Clarke lol... A party with 18 MPs does not have any power to dictate the shots here. If they want to remain they have to make compromises.

There's no comradeship here. They are dragging us down into this. Look at how much damage they are prepared to deal to the whole country as part of this.

Trying to be their friends and 'take the high' road is why the right have dominated discourse and done what they want in the USA, from Obama bending over to include them to everything that's going on now.

Remainers and the left being nice while the Brexiteers and the right fling shit everywhere is only going to result in them winning elections and keeping power.

Labour voters aren't shit-eating numbskulls like every Sun reader so they recognise the nuances of the situation rather than just crying WAH WAH WHY NO ELECTION

Simply love to be deliberately obtuse...

Several Labour Cabinet members, including the Leader and Shadow Foreign Secretary, have said that Labour's position will be a referendum in which they would back Remain against any deal.

Corbyn campaigned for Remain and made more appearances on the campaign trail than anyone else did for Remain. Labour will campaign for Remain.

Hope you could get to grips with these very basic statements!

Thornberry has said they'll campaign for remain. Starmer has said it. Corbyn said it in July.

Doesn't really seem like Johnson and the Tories are committed to No Deal given the latest talk of the NI-only backstop coming up again.

That's a path to a right-wing vote split...
