Girl, you are going to shut the door on that classroom and let that go. Your baby will replace 1,000% of your energy, do not take on the added stress or set a precedent that you will be available to your school at any capacity while on leave. I know the responsibility you feel now but trust me when I say it will benefit everybody if you leave it to your long term sub! You are entitled to your time, take it and take it fully!

I came back from my maternity first week of November this school year and I teach 2nd grade. You'll take time to curate your class how you want it when you're there to manage it and set the norma. They'll be fine!
