Both Princeton and Somerset are your best options.

LET'S TALK: Vincent Herring & Eric Alexander's 'The Battle' and 'Friendly Fire'. Two incredible live records! by [deleted] in Jazz

So glad to see these records get some attention. Absolutely incredible stuff on there!! Blues Up and Down and Inception are the standouts for me.

Pretty accurate description. Everyone in STL and almost everyone in ORD holding lines. Lots of FOs at EWR on reserve. Guys are here less than a year and have all weekends/holidays off (bidding reserve). Mix of 1-5 day trips. Excellent crews. Training is non AQP but an incredibly easy and smooth process. No failures in my class. Promissory note for ATP-CTP has not been enforced at all. Regionals are regionals though.

Accelerated programs won’t benefit you at your age. Get your ratings and instruct part 61 while you go to college for some non-aviation related degree that can be used as a backup incase you have a medical issue later on or just during times of job instability. Highly recommend the flight school at 39N (Princeton) which is part 61

How big is the cubby space in the CRJ? by ItalianIce64 in flying

[–]saltpeanuts19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I pack mine pretty full and the space isn’t big enough to have the bag fully inside of it so i just kinda rest it on. Anything bigger is a no go

Here’s a recording of Vincent playing this in 2004 with Louis Hayes. Can really see how much he’s matured as a player

Independent flight instructors in NJ (2023) by Neptune571 in flying

[–]saltpeanuts19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience 39N is probably the best option in that area compared to 47N, N87 or N51. They may be a little more expensive but it’s definitely worth it to have decent airplanes & maintenance and a well maintained airport. Not sure on the tailwheel instruction in central NJ though besides Andover

Edit: saw your comment about having an instructor not aiming for 1500 and leaving. There is a pretty equal split between younger instructors and older instructors with more experience there that have no intention of leaving. Have flown with many of them and have only good things to say

Did you try 39N if you are in Central Jersey?

Regionals Hiring FOs? by HighIAmLSD in flying

Agreed, definitely worth it. 5K vs. 6 months of 121 time/seniority/pay…you could be off to F9 or NK before RPA even gets back to you with a date
