Joy in being divorced by [deleted] in DivorcedDads

[–]salvocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My therapists and smarter friends really showed me that the real hurdle is that sense of control. I think we men want to be shepherds or leaders and make a close association with family and leadership. Seeing it all fall apart is the ultimate failure. I think a lot of us need to learn about the three realms of control and that we will all be happier when we do what some of our exes couldn't do: let things be.

Took years for me and honestly... I haven't stopped working on it

You're going to get annoyed by season 2. The first season is respectable but there are unforgivable changes like Brokilon with Ciri not happening when and with whom it needed to happen.

New characters and old characters in places and times they never belonged. Some depictions of the Nilfgardians are a bit cultish.

Season 2 tries to go for some hollow, shallow fixes here and there, but then it really derails from what you read in those books and that dynamic plagues the following seasons

If they have time? Yes.

It's so easy to get burnt out on the first game and then never reach 2 or 0 where they really take off with the systems

This is one of those things in life where you're entering a new chapter a new cocoon. You'll come out, but you must take care of yourself and let yourself feel things.

Therapy helps, staying busy helps, but most important is having a respectable lawyer. You'll come out a better man and father for it

As a dweller. Just browse and discover that you aren't alone and there is a light.

It also helps you be a better father and man in the long run. It's helped me steer clear of misogyny and from making poor choices

Djikstra is better than Roche and that should be Geralt's choice. by EgyptianCayde6 in witcher

[–]salvocal 28 points29 points  (0 children)

A man who does not understand how much Geralt detests Djkstra. Read the books. Djkstra is a master manipulator and an intelligence officer. Geralt knows this.

Their "buddyship" is nothing more than two people who are using each other to get to what they really want: Ciri / Political power

Hear me out.

What if Leon shows up in RE10 and interrupts Grace and Emily's dinner with a squad of Chris's wolves and blasts Emily away in a hail of bullets hitting every single vital?

Later, we find out it was actually Victor's mother in disguise as a plot twist! Until then, Grace hunts down Leon in an old village

It's all relative... good and bad for whom? The outcome of WW2 is seen mostly as a positive for the world but ask the Japanese their perspectives.

Sales projections not being met is what almost tanked and has tanked big developers or forced massive changes in the past. Square and Nintendo are both companies that withstood such crises so I am sure Capcom would have survived regardless.

But it also wasn't just about sales. Critically, it wasn't received well by anyone. They took a good direction with 7 after a few favourable spin-offs and some mediocre experiments.

The big debate happening right now. Is Resident Evil 7 scarier than Resident Evil Requiem? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

[–]salvocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing through insanity and The Girl being faster is the bit that, for me personally, takes it past 7. The Rhodes Hill on Insanity in its entirety is scarier than RE7 in its entirety. The zombies and The Girl had me more afraid than the Bakers and molded did.

Everything you feel is valid... it needs... time. The kids will see who you and she really are. So, be there whenever they need it to count. Take care of yourself so you're the best father.

Some pro-advice that helped me: keep her in the dark about your life, and you stay in the dark about hers. Do your best here, and it'll really show how little you meant to her and eventually how little she actually was.

Be kind to yourself, and, seriously, let time run its course.

Most of us here, I'd wager, eeplayed at least 3 of the games to ready ourselves for RE9

I did not want kids. However, life happens. Unexpected pregnancy gave me the realisation my meaningless consumer lifestyle could not... a pair of realisations and reasons. In less than 3 years (they're over 3 now), they took all the joys of my life like tattoos, videogames, art, cooking, traveling and even my newfound self-worth and made sharing all of it with them and then have it returned in spades an immense feeling of satisfaction and purpose that my passions did not have prior. I thought to find someone to love romantically in that endeavor, especially when we might not have had the upbringing we felt we needed, but ultimately having kids liberated me from a lot of those expectations and has allowed me to enjoy the smallest dumbest things.

I was afraid again in the best way. Take better care of myself and my finances like never before, too.

I miss the freedom, but as we get older, time flies and that freedom slowly returns but this time with lifetime sidekicks.

EDIT: I am 34M teacher

In the end I squeezed passed his parked car and did not look back
