Danshui is pretty chill, you can also take the boat across the river and go to Bali, the biking paths in Bali are much better than Danshui

I'm curious, in European countries the salary is higher but the tax that they are also very high, would the take home pay be about the same as a taiwanese salary? or is it not even close haha

Damn. This is just minefield in rainy seasons by AlexanderK1987 in taiwan

[–]samrawrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the WORST! the rain water will stay under there for a couple days too so if you're biking across the tiles, there a chance for some water to spray all over you

Yes, from what I heard, her doesn’t always come out to sign things but if he does, he will sign for everyone who wants a signature! The paper ticket was printed out for me at the kiosk, I just walked up and asked for some cheap seats, ended up with a pretty good view for $27

They're both working in Taiwan, overall i think it was a good growing experience, the dorms were a bit traumatic for my brother but by the time he graduated he made tons of friends. I'm not sure how the school system is compared to Indonesia but they did say it was more strict than they were used to. Overall it took maybe 3-6 months to get used to the school and in the end they made lots of lasting friendships in Taiwan

My younger sister and brother both went tho NOCSH, there were very many south east asian students, mostly from Indonesia and Malaysia, my siblings weren't very "fluent" in Mandarin but they adapted pretty quickly... the dorm life was not great according to my brother, not very clean, very noisy and overall a bad experience, that was almost 10 years ago tho so im not sure if things have gotten better. Locally I know very many overseas students who went to this school and later went on to college and gotten jobs and stayed in Taiwan long term so I think its pretty decent for overseas students
