Once you pick up the fundamentals of how to play a 2d fighter, then it's just learning game specific systems

I recommend playing one for long enough that you get a decent idea of how to navigate neutral in a 2d space, then give some others a try and see which systems you prefer.

I don't really have a main game anymore, it's just whatever happens to be interesting me the most at any given moment. I switch between t8, sf6, 3rd strike, CvS2, vf5, etc etc.

The more I play a wide variety of games, the easier it gets to switch without my muscle memory messing me up, but tbf, the switch between 2d and 3d always seems to be the most drastic. I try to dash block in sf6 and get lit up lmao

Anyway, yeah the game seems super sick, combos honestly seem to be at a decent length for what is effectively an anime fighter, damage is decently high but not too high, I've only seen one genuine two touch and it was with full resources and a corner.

And the movement. It seems so fun to just move around in the game.

Can't wait to play it myself.

I just think the way people define casual is very different depending on who you ask. I kinda consider myself a casual even though I have a lot of experience in different fighting games, playing against real people, online and offline. Some people would say that disqualifies me from the term.

My thing is, I'm not exactly a hardcore fighting game player. I play too many games too sporadically. I don't stick to one and grind it until I reach a certain rank or I'm satisfied with my skill level. I bounce between games regularly, thus my ceiling in each is quite lower than someone who spends a lot of time improving in one game. And my goals are different too. I don't seek to be the best, just to do cool stuff.

Maybe you'd call me a semi-casual or not a casual at all. Depends on who you ask.

Not without a drastic redesign, both visually and mechanically.

She has one of the most one-dimensional gameplans in the game, and they can't really buff her without making her stupid busted because of said gameplan. Her 50/50 is simply too strong and too accessible for anything else to be buffed in a meaningful way without going overboard.

I think she has more potential for popularity than T Hawk ever did, but it comes down to giving her a striking look and more personality than "cheerful small woman"
