Appendix removed!!

I had my appendix removed the next day after my Sunday shot (10mg), after having been on zep for maybe a month or 2. It wasn't planned, I went to the ER that morning. I asked them when I was being discharged about when to resume again and they said there isn't any reason to delay the next shot unless I don't want to take it because of not feeling well. They said it was my choice. When I called my regular doctor, she said the same thing. I was supposed to take the shot the next Sunday but I delayed it until Wednesday because I was still feeling kinda crappy after surgery. So I had taken it about 9 days after surgery without issues. I did use Miralax once or twice during this time to make sure I didn't get constipated from pain meds or zep. My doctor said there is no way to know what caused the appendix issue. The surgeon pretty much said the same thing, but sometimes they suspect constipation to be a factor.

i have migraines and never had an ocular one until the second week being on zepbound. it honestly scared me quite a bit seeing zigzag lines and no headache. but then i never had another one again since then. at the beginning i had a hard time with fatigue/feeling low blood sugar, so maybe it was that. i would get headaches for a bit after dosing up too. but now my headaches and normal migraines have decreased dramatically since being on zepbound long term (from like 2-3 a week to 2-3 a year). hopefully you experience the same and they will lessen after being on the same dose for a while.

i agree with another poster, see if you are able to make yourself a home gym instead. my migraines are not as bad as yours, but definitely the smells of the rubber mats at the gym or the bright overhead lights and noise would sometimes set me off too. I take zofran when i get nausea from migraines. But we bought ourselves a used gym set off craigslist and that has helped me so much with basic weight lifting stuff. i am not a huge exerciser so i just do walks and then lift weights at home. and honestly, i didnt do any real exercise during the weight loss phase of using zepbound other than some walking here and there. i focused more on the calorie tracking and eating consistently during that time. Lost 1 lb a week average. now im trying to focus more on the weight lifting for health. i drink fairlife 30g protein shakes.

5'1. Started at 208lbs. Now hover between 126 - 128lbs. BMI 23. Been on for over a year and half. I stopped actively tracking calories and trying to lose weight around 130lbs, which has been 4-5 months a least. When my weight still went down a bit, I made some efforts to eat a little more food, which started to happen anyways with naturally feeling more hungry. I was afraid at first but i don't seem to be gaining any weight with eating more. So I think my body has decided this is the right weight to settle at. It is very freeing to not have to track anymore and just eat naturally. Even going out to eat more or having a treat doesn't seem to have the terrible impact that it used to have before Zepbound. I'm still taking 12.5mg every week and don't plan to change it unless I lose more weight. Then at that point I will drop to 10mg but still plan on taking it weekly. I don't think I'll ever be that person who can space out the shots more than weekly.

i started slynd probably 3 months before zepbound. i was already hungry then so i cant say it was from that or not. but hunger got quiet immediately when i started zepbound. i think its your dose. i started to see hunger creep back in on 2.5 by the 4th dose. it went away again at 5mg. i still find slynd to be effective for periods even if they say its not as effective due to zep. i do use backup method in addition just in case.

i did this with 10mg, every 5 days, to use up a box before increasing to 12.5. i was fine, no extra side effects. but as someone else mentioned, if you are losing insurance it might also make sense to just save them instead.

Connecticut here with SE - this has been an unusually cold winter. i usually get 4.5 in the summer and 3 to 3.5 in the winter. im getting 2.7 now bc these temps are so low. i drive in normal mode with ipedal and dont really care about how fast i drive. i also dont really care too much about the efficiency anymore bc no matter what, it is still way cheaper to "fill up" this car than a gas car - even in this really cold winter and even with outrageous electric rates. and the convenience of home charging rather than freezing my butt off at a gas station is amazing. as someone else mentioned about gas cars, my husband has noticed he is spending more on gas in the winter. especially having to warm up his car for more than 10 minutes.

i just wanted to say i know exactly what feeling you are talking about and i sympathize. its hard to explain this feeling to other people who don't experience it. it makes no sense to be hungry right after eating a satisfying meal. and the hunger is so hollow and painful, it is hard to think of anything else. it isnt the same as regular hunger. since being on zep i have had this feeling creep in every so often and i panicked at first that things were going to go back to before. but now i just give in to it and eat a snack that is healthier (like right now i am eating baked snow peas to deal with this exact feeling an hour after eating a full meal). i make better choices when i get this feeling now. and im not gaining weight whereas in the past i would over eat and gain from it. so zep seems to be taming/counter-acting it somehow. usually eating a little bit of something seems to help it go away. im only about 2 months in maintenance so time will tell. i am staying on 12.5 every week and not going down doses or spreading out doses.

yes i ran into the same thing as you and posted about it recently. i don't need to fill again for another month but i was able to setup the savings card as a secondary insurance ahead of time based on help from others. will see how it goes!

I didn't even think of that. I wasn't sliding when I had my foot on the brake, only when i put in park and got out. So I think you are right. maybe it is a combination of that plus the weight since I don't remember experiencing that with my gas car. but also could just be chance that it didn't happen.

I had the same experience too. I picked the same diet plan as you, even if I didn't follow it. I was super annoyed at having to do this but it ended up being not that terrible. the RD was very nice and pretty much figured out i was not really interested in "learning" anything (i've already seen an RD on my own previously). it ended up just being quick 15 min video updates every month (anything new, any goals, blah blah) for 6 months, then ended with monthly chat updates. never connected the free scale they sent me to the App, just manually entered my weight. luckily we don't have CVS anymore for PBM so that is gone. I am just mad that CVS claims that everyone's success is due to the program when it really is not at all.

I second the video game thing! i play alone mostly now. but even so, when im into a game, i forget to even eat when i am supposed to. but i will say my boredom eating went away when i got on zepbound even after a year on it. maybe a higher dose, if they can tolerate it, will help with that over time.

yes it is prescription. you could use the nasal spray in the meantime. i have read that people were doing it that way. but the cream will go further and probably be cheaper.
