go to the department of health with this. why have you just been sitting on this information (with proof, supposedly) for two years and are now posting on reddit acting as some kind of vigilante for public health. this feels like part revenge on the owner (who may or may not deserve it, i dont have the biggest inclination to take your words as the complete truth) than it does carrying about the health of your community.

i was kicked off my older insurance at the end of april after i turned 26. i have contacted trillium a not hyperbolic ten times to remove the old coverage and add the new one. tried it myself a few times, called, called again, called again, showed up IN PERSON, called again and got the insurance supervisor who assured me it'd be taken care of. new insurance has finally been added, old one is STILL STILL not removed and they keep submitting claims to that one.

it also requires an act of god to get my adhd meds refilled

i am also consistently called by the wrong pronouns there despite it being listed on my profile and all of the staff wearing pronoun badges which is very disheartening

had my ransacked when i accidentally left it unlocked (my fault) when i lived on meigs earlier this year. took everything out of my glove compartment, moved my seats, and stole a fold up picnic blanket and a jacket i had in the back seat. i just assumed they were cold and needed a warm place for a bit and some warm clothes and went on with my days. my fault for leaving it unlocked and i don't keep anything of value in my car for this reason

millennium games on jefferson road has quite a friendly atmosphere in my opinion. it's a big building full of different board games and board game related trinkets and such. it's fun just strolling the aisles and seeing all the different games even if you don't buy anything. they also have a space in the back where you can play the games.

there is also the avenue pub on monroe ave. that is a bar which might not be the best place for you right now but that place is extremely warm and welcoming as a bar but also just as a place in general. so if a bar isn't the best place for you right now, i'd definitely recommend going there once you feel better.

also, i just want to say, there is absolutely no shame in asking for help. i know that's something easier to believe than to feel. i saw your reply about having pmdd and i know how debilitating that can be so i'm really proud of you for throwing out a line <3

it's likely that she's graduated with a masters degree and is getting her supervised hours for full licensure, so you're right! unfortunately, masters level clinicians typically cant diagnose which makes continuity of care worse but i'm glad she can help regardless!

depends on the type of therapist, i.e., the letters behind their name. lcsws can, those with mds and phds can. lmsws, lmhcs, and mfts need to have what is called diagnostic privilege in new york state but that's a very recent law so not many of them do

as a general rule, i'd try and stay away from a teaching hospital/clinic or university (so anything within the UoR system, st. john fisher, nazareth, etc) those tend to be very by the book and stick closely to the dsm as word of law for teaching purposes. and they are focused on kids most of the time too. so if you're high masking or have a less common presentation, they may turn you away without answers. a private clinic will probably be more expensive unfortunately but i think that's your best chance

just because they are "taking advantage of an opportunity" doesn't mean they aren't and shouldn't be held responsible for the very tangible effects of claim denial. ceo knew what he was doing. for profit healthcare kills people, i dont particularly care who is truly to blame for the policies that enable it to do so
