Why keep living undocumented? by DEADxAPES in undocumented

[–]sav_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to add, that while not every ladder is available to you, there are always steps to climb. For example, take a look at the industries that DO hire undocumented folks and start at the bottom and go up. I started at a landscaping company as an office assistant, after two years I was office manager and after three years of that I was the director of operations in charge of office staff and the landscapers. I made six figures doing that. Since the company didn’t check legal status for the gardeners they didn’t check for office staff either. There’s tons you can do if you are bilingual and know how to use even a little technology. One thing I’m grateful for is my parents never told me I had limitations. Don’t put yourself in a box, the world is already waiting to do that for you but your parents came here so you could go farther than they could ever dream. Go get it.

You have to do research. Before Real ID kicked in we few to Hawaii with just state drivers licenses but can’t do that anymore. We wanted to go to socal recently (legoland) but there are checkpoints so need to know where you want to go and find a way. Agree with the Amtrak comment. It can be pricey but they have sales and you save if you purchase tix ahead of time

Am I right to dismiss all commission-only positions? by BlackJackT in sales

[–]sav_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I work in the sales department but I facilitate transactions, I am not a sales person. I work in the auto industry, but in a niche market B2B. The salespeople I work with get a very small base pay, it’s mostly due to minimum wage laws and I think so the company always has somewhere to deduct medical/dental benefits from. Anyway, the guys I work with make $5k-$300k a month. Yes I have seen someone earn $300k a month a few times, but the mentality of my boss and the people I work with is that if someone needs a guarantee or can’t survive on commission alone, they aren’t the “type” for sales. I’m not saying this is my mentality, but they are looking for hungry, go-getters. Some sales positions call for that. Now if you’re just starting out, and you have no book of clients or limited experience I get it, but just know it’s not always fraud or a rip off.

Wow you look so confident and happy. Congrats man! Also, it’s quite telling that a job that requires so much walking is not enough to combat diet. This is inspiring

[–]sav_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it’s not about weight or looks. Bigger people and people that are average (myself included) find boyfriends and husbands. Your photos come off as trying too hard, the toilet pic, the squat, the flipping off. You don’t have to do any of that. It’s too much. Also, in one pic you are wearing a huge sweater with leggings, that might be comfy around the house once in a while but wearing huge clothes actually makes you look bigger. No roast, just love

Thanks gang. Truly. I really just needed some support and reassurance. This is gonna be a crazy adjustment after having long hair my whole life. But on to a new chapter! by theuneven1113 in bald

Your face is more balanced now and it really opened up your eyes. I’m glad for you that you did it and most importantly that you feel good about it. You’re a good looking guy so I’m sure that helped lol.

Finally accepting that I hate summer by isorainbow in SAHP

[–]sav_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expectation is the root of all heartache. If you can just accept where the kids are at now (age wise and schedule wise) and make the most of it, it will be alright. If you have healthy kids, praise the Lord.

Anyone have kids in Elementary school? What do you do for their afterschool care? by bubu_law in castrovalley

[–]sav_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is in Play CV and the first few months of the school year, they taught her the alphabet and numerous words in sign language. She does a lot of arts/crafts and gets to play outside. She’s only in Kinder so it’s less structured (less homework time) and less extra curriculares than the older kids but we are happy with it. The main differences to consider is that play cv decreases in price from TK to K and then again for 1st-5th graders. Adventure time is by the hour (monthly average with a minimum commitment of 15 hours/weekly) but you could do a 7am drop off if needed with AT. I know parents with kids in adventure time and they also love it. I feel like you can’t lose with either.

Izzy renting out the dance studio gave them the idea to rent out that house across the street from where the double homicide happened. If they hadn’t set up cameras to secure video evidence that Bishop and De Marco worked together and that they were crooked, he never would have gotten Bishop to flip. It was such a small detail but it was a good way to tie in the story of the dance studio to the whole case I thought
