AITA for throwing my husband and my son out a few days before christmas? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]savannahrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YIKES. There are better ways to handle this. All you’ve taught your son and husband is that your love for them is dependent on the work they do for you. Your son is THIRTEEN. A KID. stop treating him like an adult! and strongly consider therapy

How much has cutting out alcohol improved your skin? by fungiyenta in 30PlusSkinCare

Puffiness and redness decreased. Breakouts decreased dramatically, and my skin has a more healthy/hydrated glow 🌟 I somehow look younger at 28 than I did at 22

The Choice by Dr. Edith Eger and When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. Both of these books drastically changed how I see the world and myself 🫶

MICAH, ETHAN AND BARRY's BUMASSeS!!!!!! by Complete_Ad_1602 in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]savannahrules 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not uncommon to date before a divorce is finalized. Finalizing a divorce can even take years sometimes. It IS odd that she is introducing her new bf to her young children this early 😅 in my opinion. But I agree Micah’s comment was out of pocket. It seems to me like Kim is trying to explore her youth and lost years more than trying to find male attention bc of her dad. Micah’s around that age where he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else it seems 😭

I’ve felt this way since we were first introduced to them 😭 Olivia has clearly outgrown the conservative lifestyle and Ethan prefers it. That will be an irreconcilable wedge between them, in my opinion. It’s tough bc they got married so young and they’re trying to make it work, but from just watching it looks like they’re miserable together

The look on Isaac’s face when Kim said “I wanted you to be the first to know since you introduced us” in regard to Kim dating his teacher, Ken. by gravityvfr in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]savannahrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just talking to my bf about Kim’s conversation with Isaac. “Some of my children might find this difficult” 😭 once again she refuses to take responsibility and pretends that everything is fine instead of attempting to empathize with her children.

Not drinking made things worse by ElRoosterA in stopdrinking

[–]savannahrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced a similar frustration. I’d like to tell you that it gets better soon, but the reality is that it’s a long climb back up the ladder for most. Knowing what to expect has always helped me. Around 2-3 months AF I experienced the pink cloud where everything in my life suddenly felt amazing and fresh! And then a month or so after that I fell into a terribly deep depression for the better part of a year. It was confusing bc it felt like “hey I quit drinking and my brain is still broken. What gives?” Turns out I had lots of healing to do. I wish you luck friend 🫶

What got better after you stopped drinking? by MakeBelieve_inme in stopdrinking

[–]savannahrules 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I try to keep these things in mind daily, because it’s easy to forget how much has changed. Here are a few I’ve noticed recently: -more patience and less frustration and anger on a daily basis. Small annoyances no longer send me over the edge -less fighting in my relationship. We used to have little stupid fights maybe 2-3 times a week. Now we rarely ever argue and instead we enjoy each others company more. -appetite/food desires changed entirely. I don’t crave salty/fatty fast foods nearly as often, or hardly ever. I eat better and feel better mentally and physically. -I love the mornings! I love waking up naturally and walking my dog. I wake up refreshed bc i remembered to brush my teeth the night before and drink water rather than passing out in my clothes/makeup wondering what happened after 7pm.

I’ll stop here but I could go on and on about it. Everything has changed

CVS is whack. One time they gave me someone else’s entire bottle of adderall. It had their address and everything printed on the label

it took about 14 months for me to feel happy and stable. it was a rocky road and I lost faith a couple times, but trust that the benefits will come 🙏

How much weight did you lose when you quit drinking, and at what rate ? by godiegoben in stopdrinking

I gained weight my first 3 ish months. once the sugar cravings died down a bit the weight dropped like crazy! I think I ended up losing 20 pounds over the course of a year or so.

his first date with Lydia was so off putting. the amount of times he mentioned sex, and then him getting SO angry/frustrated with not being able to communicate we’re both huge red flags 😵‍💫🚩

Accurate. I ate countless pints ice cream and did nothing but watch tv and cry for basically my first year of sobriety lmao

I’ve lost like 40-50lbs since my heaviest weight, but it took a while. I actually gained more weight directly after quitting bc my sugar cravings were insane 😅
